21.01.2022 Today we mark Vietnam Veterans Day, on the 54th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan. We remember the service and sacrifice of the more than 60,000 Australian servicemen and women deployed to Vietnam between 1962 and 1975. This is a significant day for many of the widows and families in Legacys care.... In 2020, many ceremonies to commemorate the day have been cancelled for safety. A difficult but considered decision. For those marking this day at home, the Australian War Memorial will conduct a Last Post Ceremony today at 4:55pm. It can be watched on Facebook or YouTube at this link: https://www.awm.gov.au/commemoration/last-post-ceremony Lest we forget.
