Relative strength is the load lifted by the athlete, divided by bodyweight. In a game that requires both high power efforts and a large aerobic capacity, being strong for your weight increases your ability to move quickly and move efficiently. 19.01.2022 Star pupil @adwil23 with some supine band rows this afternoon. The main reason for this exercise is that he hurt his ankle playing footy last weekend and I still wanted him doing rows. Though a second reason that you might include this exercise is to practice packing the shoulder. A lot of people have trouble pressing the shoulders into the bench whilst pressing weight and an exercise like this mimics the eccentric portion of the bench press give it a try, its harder than it looks.
