08.01.2022 We're so proud of our senior solicitor Sally Bryant, who has been awarded a Public Service Medal in the Australia Day Honours for her outstanding contribution to public service, particularly during the devastating bushfires of 2019-2020. During the bushfires, Sally mobilised our Disaster Response Legal Service in record time and at an unprecedented scale. She worked tirelessly to roster on Legal Aid volunteers during the fires. Under her leadership, the Service delivered over 1,000 legal assistance services, reaching more than 2,500 residents across NSW. Congratulations Sally! You are a shining example of What we stand for!

Her most recent career highlights include serving on the First Nations Advisory Committee for the Parliamentary inquiry into the drug ‘ice’ and working on our Best Practice Standards for Representing Aboriginal clients.... 03.01.2022 Great news today that the scheme to help those unfairly charged for vocational training courses will be extended for two years. The VET Fee Help Scheme was due to end on December 31, but there are still people out there who may be unaware that they owe large sums for courses they never needed, and never completed.
