24.01.2022 Nonna asked you last month what recipes you’d like to see from her and this delish Sage Infused Burnt Butter recipe was one of them: 500g pumpkin, cut into 2cm cubes 630g packet Leggo’s Fresh Agnolotti with Ricotta, Spinach and Parmesan 150g butter... 16 sage leaves cup pine nuts, toasted Shaved parmesan cheese, for garnish 1. Boil pumpkin in a large saucepan of boiling water for 5 minutes or until pumpkin is just softened. 2. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. 3. Add Leggo’s Agnolotti to boiling water and cook following packet directions. 4. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large frypan over high heat for 2-3 minutes or until butter starts to brown. 5. Add sage leaves and drained pumpkin and cook for 1-2 minutes or until crisp and golden. 6. Remove sage and drain on absorbent paper towel. 7. Drain Agnolotti and return to hot saucepan. 8. Pour burnt butter and pumpkin over pasta and gently stir. 9. Spoon into serving bowls and top with sage leaves, pine nuts and parmesan cheese. Serve immediately. Tasty Tip: The butter in this dish makes a rich indulgent sauce, smaller serves are recommended.

Cook pasta following packet directions. 2. Meanwhile, pan-fry bacon strips until crisp. 3. Mix hot pasta with bacon and Leggo's Pasta Bake Sauce in an ovenproof dish. 4. Sprinkle with cheese. 5. Bake in a preheated oven at 200C for 20 minutes or until golden.

Cook pasta following packet directions. Drain. 2. Combine pasta, chicken, peas and Leggo’s Pasta Bake Sauce in a 20cm x 20cm baking dish. 3. Sprinkle with cheese. 4. Bake in a preheated oven at 190C for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden.
23.01.2022 Nonna has received some amazing feedback on her famous Tuna Pasta Bake recipe, so in case you haven’t tried it before, here’s the recipe so you can make it this week Leggo’s Tuna Pasta: 2 cups short pasta, cooked 500g jar Leggo’s Tuna Bake... 425g can John West Tuna in oil, drained 1 cups grated cheese 1. Boil pasta until al dente 2. Drain pasta and mix together with Leggo’s Tuna Pasta Bake sauce and flaked tuna. 3. Spoon into a baking dish. 4. Sprinkle with cheese 5. Pop in a preheated oven of 180C for 20mins or until golden. Serves 4 Tasty tip: Nonna knows you’re trying to eat more veg (aren’t we all!), so don’t be afraid to add in some Birds Eye Peas or Edgell Corn Kernels while you’re mixing everything together

20.01.2022 Nonna’s a bit excited to be heading into spring, so she’s put together these mouth-watering Pesto Lamb Kebabs for you to enjoy. 190g jar Leggo’s Pesto Traditional Basil 2 tablespoons olive oil 500g diced lamb... 1 small yellow capsicum, cut into chunks 1 small green capsicum, cut into chunks 1 small red onion, cut into chunks Rocket leaves, to serve 1. In a small mixing bowl combine 2 tablespoons Leggo’s Pesto with olive oil. 2. Place lamb in a medium bowl and cover with half the pesto mixture, tossing to coat well. Season. Allow to marinate for 10 minutes. 3. Assemble skewers with alternating pieces of yellow and green capsicum, onion and meat. 4. Cook skewers on a preheated BBQ or griddle plate, turning every 2-3 minutes until charred and cooked to your liking. 5. Transfer to a serving plate. 6. Drizzle skewers with remaining pesto mixture and serve with rocket leaves. Tasty tip: Replace lamb with diced chicken thigh fillets, or mix things up with both!
19.01.2022 Nonna knows the secret to making spring feel like summer and it’s in this divine Spaghetti Marinara! 1 tablespoon olive oil 500g seafood marinara mix 500g Leggo’s Marinara Pasta Sauce... 400g spaghetti, cooked & drained Lemon wedges & fresh parsley leaves for garnish 1. Heat oil in a large non-stick pan. 2. Add marinara mix and cook for 4-5mins. 3. Add Leggo’s Marinara Pasta Sauce, reduce heat, and cook for a further 4-5mins. 4. Add drained, hot spaghetti and toss well. 5. Serve garnished with lemon wedges and parsley. Serves 4

17.01.2022 Nonna knows how to make lamb cutlets extra amazing with prosciutto and a glorious tomato marinade check out her recipe below! 1/3 cup Leggo’s Tomato Paste 1 tablespoon seeded mustard 1 clove garlic, crushed... 12 trimmed lamb cutlets 12 small sprigs rosemary 6 thin slices prosciutto, halved lengthways oil spray Mashed potato and roasted vegetables, for serving 1. Combine Leggo’s Tomato Paste, mustard and garlic in a small bowl then brush over lamb cutlets. 2. Place a sprig of rosemary on each cutlet before wrapping a half slice of prosciutto around each cutlet. 3. Heat a non stick frypan over medium heat. 4. Spray both sides of each cutlet with oil and brown lightly on both sides. 5. Transfer to a baking paper lined tray and cook in a preheated oven at 200C for 8 minutes or until cooked to your liking before resting for 5 minutes. 6. Serve with mashed potato and roasted vegetables. Tasty tip: Lamb cutlets can be assembled a day ahead and refrigerated until ready to be cooked.

It makes 12 so the whole family can enjoy! 2 teaspoons oil 500g beef mince 500g jar Leggo’s Bolognese Pasta Sauce... cup frozen Birds Eye Country Harvest - Peas, Corn & Capsicum 5 sheets puff pastry 1 egg, beaten for glaze Step 1 Heat oil in a frypan, add beef mince and cook until browned. In a medium bowl combine cooked beef, Birds Eye Country Harvest, set aside. Step 2 Cut pastry into 24 x 10cm circles, and place 12 rounds into a greased 1/3 cup x 12 muffin pan, easing pastry to form a small pie shell. Spoon equal amounts of the meat mixture into each pie shell. Brush egg glaze around edge of pastry. Step 3 Place remaining pastry rounds over pies and fold excess pastry over tucking in and pressing together to form a decorative edge. Brush pastry tops with glaze. Step 4 Bake in a preheated oven at 190C for 25-30 minutes. Serve hot or cold with tomato relish. Tasty tip: Make into smaller party pies using patty pan trays.

10.01.2022 Nonna is making her amazingly scrumptious Capsicum and Chorizo Penne dish to celebrate World Pasta Day today and she's popped the recipe below so you can too! 250g penne pasta 1 tablespoon oil 4 chorizo sausages, sliced... 1 red capsicum, deseeded and cut into strips 1 jar Leggo’s Stir Through Sauce Tomato, Roasted Garlic & Caramelised Onion (see Tasty Tip below) 300ml cream METHOD 1. Cook penne according to pack directions, drain and reserve. 2. Heat oil in a large frying pan and add the chorizo, cooking for 4-5mins or until chorizo begins to crisp. 3. Add capsicum and cook for a further 2-3mins. 4. Stir in Leggo’s Stir Through Sauce and cream and gently reheat. 5. Remove sauce from heat, toss through cook pasta and serve. 10.01.2022 Nonna knows how to impress the whole family, and it’s with her recipe for the perfect homemade Gnocchi Bolognese: 1 tablespoon oil 500g beef mince 500g jar Leggo’s Bolognese Pasta Sauce... 500g gnocchi (store-bought or homemade) 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese Fresh parsley leaves, for garnish Step 1 In a large frypan, heat oil over high heat. Add mince and cook for 5 minutes or until brown. Reduce heat and stir in Leggo’s Pasta Sauce, simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Step 2 Meanwhile, cook gnocchi in a large saucepan of boiling water for 1-2 minutes or until gnocchi floats to the surface. Drain and set aside. Step 3 Spoon bolognese sauce into a shallow 1 litre baking dish and top with cooked gnocchi. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Step 4 Place under a preheated grill for 2-3 minutes or until golden. Sprinkle with parsley. YUM!

We didn’t think so 750g minced beef... 2 jars Leggo’s Lasagne Bake Red Sauce with Tomato, Onion & Basil 1 jar Leggo’s Lasagne Bake Bechamel Cheese Sauce Dry lasagne sheets 1 cup cheese, grated 1. Brown 750g beef mince in a pan and stir in 2 jars Leggo’s Lasagne Bake Red Sauce. 2. Prepare layers by alternating of the meat sauce, dry lasagne sheets and of the Leggo’s Lasagne Bake Bechamel Cheese Sauce in a lasagne dish. Repeat layers finishing with white sauce. 3. Sprinkle 1 cup grated cheese evenly over the top. 4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 40 minutes. Serves 6 Tasty tip: Only got Leggo's Bolognese jars in the cupboard? No worries! These make a great substitute for the Leggo's Lasagne Bake Red Sauce.

06.01.2022 Nonna asked you last month what recipes you’d like to see from her and this amazing Cheesy Chicken Pasta recipe was one of them perfect for the whole family! 1 cups dry spiral pasta 2 teaspoons oil 300g chicken mince... 1 cup frozen Birds Eye Corn Kernels 490g jar Leggo's Alfredo Pasta Sauce 1 cup grated tasty cheese cup fresh breadcrumbs 1.Cook pasta following packet directions. 2. Drain well and set aside. 3. Meanwhile, heat oil in a non stick frypan over high heat. 4. Add chicken mince and cook for 5 minutes or until lightly browned, breaking up any large pieces. 5. Reduce heat to medium and stir in Leggo’s Pasta Sauce and Birds Eye Corn Kernels, heat for 2-3 minutes. 6. Gently stir in the cooked pasta. 7. Spoon mixture into a 6 cup capacity shallow baking dish and sprinkle with combined cheese and breadcrumbs. 8. Brown under a preheated grill for 5-10 minutes or until golden. Tasty tip! 03.01.2022 Nonna knows there are plenty of mushroom fans out there, so she’s put together an out of this world Pancetta & Mushroom Papardelle recipe just for you! 500g pappardelle pasta 1 tablespoon olive oil 200g button mushrooms, quartered ... 350g jar Leggo's Stir Through Sauce - Semi-dried Tomato, Basil and Parmesan 6 thin slices pancetta Fresh parsley leaves, for garnish 1. Cook pappardelle pasta following packet directions. 2. Drain and return to hot saucepan. 3. Meanwhile, heat oil in a non stick frypan. 4. Add mushrooms and cook for 1-2 minutes. 5. Add Leggo's Stir Through Sauce and heat through for 2 minutes. 6. Place pancetta on a baking tray and place under a hot grill for 2 minutes or until crisp. 7. Pour sauce over pasta and toss gently to combine. 8. Break pancetta into shards and serve over pasta. 9. Garnish with parsley leaves. Tasty Tip: Prosciutto can be substituted for the pancetta.
