A show not to be missed! On the platform of the Pacific's largest island, Australia, we are able to link all the islands from Australia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Hawaii, Kiribati and many others. This is a culturally rich exchange that empowers these emerging markets to create business opportunity and become strong participants in the fashion industry and its supporting industries. Pacific Fashion Festival is created to showcase, develop and nurture talent for the economic empowerment of our Pacific communities whilst advocating against community, family and gender violence. Proactive and creative advocacy aligned with cultural celebration shines a light on an issue very hidden and shamed in our communities to create an open and safe dialogue. We endeavour to create a culturally rich platform that empowers these emerging markets to create business opportunity and become strong participants in the fashion industry and its supporting industries. In addition, this initiative also embraces cultural diversity, unity, positive body image, confidence and family values. Australia is a world stage that allows multicultural communities to participate in a cultural exchange of endless beauty and is also a vibrant market viable for endless opportunity in a competitive market. We are also excited to announce that not only will this show inspire you but it will entertain you. We have so much in store. Dress theme for our audience is "Colour me bright". So wear your bright colours and dress to dazzle. Pacific Fashion Festival is social enterprise creation by The Leniata Legacy and all profits are reinvested into building this platform for the empowerment of our communities whilst excess monies are then allocated to Papua New Guinea for the cause of gender-based violence and sorcery-based violence in Papua New Guinea. 15.01.2022 Did you know that not every lawyer is the same? To ensure you are engaging a qualified, experienced and capable Migration Lawyer, here are our top three tips: 1.... ensure they are also a Registered Migration Agent by checking their details are registered at mara.gov.au; 2. confirm they are experienced in handling your particular immigration matter/s. Lawyers and migration agents may specialise in immigration, but even within that field they may specialise in a niche area of law, issue or visa type; and 3. initial consultations are an ideal way of gauging whether a lawyer can handle your matter/s and whether they are the right lawyer for you at a personal level. It's not just an opportunity to gain some initial advice, but to also gauge their ability to understand your situation, priorities and concerns. Ask whether they have dealt with matters similar to yours in the past and what their opinion is regarding your prospects. See how they are able to relate those experiences to yours. And if they don't know, can they/will they research it and get back to you (remember, lawyers do not always know every aspect of the law, but usually have the skills and resources to find out). We believe that what makes the best lawyer is one that can handle your matter/s with skill whilst dealing with you, their client, with compassion and understanding - because, let's face it, you only get lawyers involved during critical life events. Our firm prides itself on excellence and compassion, and we seek to make our services in reach of those who are most vulnerable and disadvantaged. Contact us today for a confidential discussion. 06.01.2022 Last Friday our director Joel McComber presented at the INSPIA event hosted by UQ SPIA at the beautiful St Lucia campus. The purpose of INSPIA was to encourage... Pacific Islander and Maori high school students to aspire to achieve university education and to be inspired by other Pasifika students and professionals who have and continue to pave the way for others in our community. Joel shared about likely changes to HECS-HELP / FEE-HELP eligibility, Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) eligibility, and the benefit of obtaining permanent residence or citizenship in light of these impending changes. Following the positive response and interest in our presentation, we will be offering FREE INITIAL ADVICE to Pacific Islander and Maori high school students during the month of October and November. Contact us today to make your appointment.
