18.01.2022 So, last night we finished bump-out for the first musical theatre production at the Conservatorium of Music, this year - Sweet Charity. This was the first time I have ever Stage Managed a production of this size, and I am so proud of everyone involved of how well they worked over the last three weeks. So now to ALL the thanks :) ... Thank you to all the cast for your spectacular effort. You were wonderful to work with and always positive on even the longest days. Your dancing looked awesome, your singing gave me goose bumps and you didn’t hit anyone or anything with the treads during your last performance! Which just shows that you are listening and endeavouring to improve everything you do :D Thank you to all the lecturers, who throughout this production season, were there lending a hand or two, plus all their hearts to everyone in the cast and crew. Who were supporting us completely, making sure that we were looked after and that we were giving our 100%. Thank you!!! Thank you to our wonderful director, Caroline Kasper. Who was enthusiastic and energised since day one, and over the time spent with her during this production, I felt that if I could have an ounce of passion and commitment and love for my ‘field of endeavour’ as Caroline does for hers; then I can’t ever truly fail. Caroline had so much to teach us and every moment will be a treasured one. Thank you so much! Thank you to Emma Goding, our Dance Captain for this production. The confidence and knowledge that you have gained throughout this season is inspiring. We were both given large roles this year that we’ve never done before, but you excelled in your position. Thank you for always staying positive and enthusiastic, and for always being there and supporting me as well. And last, but not least Thank you to my wonderful tech crew! For a team of eight, six of whom are first years who have never done a production at the Conservatorium before, you guys did brilliantly. Thank you to Alice, who helped me show the others their way around the theatre and the shed. Thank you to Stuart, who brought the muscle and the positive, will do attitude to every day. Thank you to Jack, Kadee and Kyle, whose AV and Dome operations were seamless and who never complained about all the jobs you guys were given throughout the show. And thank you to Amy and Kiara! My ASM’s side of stage. You guys had such a stressful job; always being the first people the cast found whenever things went wrong or they needed something. And yet, you were always the ones laughing and smiling, and making the rest of us laugh and smile too. THANK YOU!!! Lets make the next show, just as good as this one!

06.01.2022 "Team Red" Leia Ruthenberg - 29/04/15

03.01.2022 In January this year, I was able to go to Malaysia, along with many other CQUniversity students, to perform our version of the 'Mikado'. It was a wonderful experience with a lot of long, tiring days; but the hard work paid off. There isn't enough words or time to describe everything I got to achieve and see over there, and I can only hope to relive an adventure like this one!
