24.01.2022 The Lord appeared to him from afar, saying, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness. Jeremiah 31:3
22.01.2022 A true hero indeed!
21.01.2022 Yesterday we spoke to Terry the Truckie out at Bunbury, WA to hear his incredible story of transformation through an encounter with God I was listening to a s...ermon by Jeff Vines, and the sermon touched my heart. I've never thought I had a heart before, but just had tears running down my eyes and the Lord touch me in a way that I haven't been touched before. So I gave my life to Christ right there and then on the spot after the sermon when he asks would you want to accept Jesus into your life pray this prayer with me. Terry then goes onto share the ripple effect of this change in his life and how him coming to the Lord has turned his life upside down, in a significant way. He has found a church and a fellowship of people through a Christian motorcycle group and is ministering to others. He also shared that years before that his wife put the verse "I will take out your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh" in her prayer room and had been praying that ever since. That's precisely what God did for Terry. What an incredible transformation! Through the faithful prayers of Terry's wife and God working through a sermon on Vision, Terry gave his life to the Lord and then goes onto minister to others. This is the ripple effect of your donation lives are changed, and then go onto change other lives. As we approach the final day of Visionathon tomorrow, now is the time to give to help us keep going and keep growing. Donate securely online at www.vision.org.au or phone 1800 316 316.
15.01.2022 The mother in the back row pictured here is Amy Coney Barrett. ACB is about to become the next justice on the United States Supreme Court. She was a law clerk... for Justice Anton Scalia, was a law professor at Notre Dame law school and is a mother of seven children, two of whom were adopted from Haiti (pictured when they were younger) and one child who has special needs. She is highly qualified legally and she is the real deal as a decent and generous human being. She is a faithful Catholic. During her hearing to become a federal judge, Senator Feinstein sarcastically said of her, The dogma lives loudly within you... this quote has become somewhat famous in Federalist Society legal-geek circles. This remarkable woman is about to become the most demonized woman in the world literally overnight by those who hate what is good, true and beautiful. Please pray for her, for her husband, and for her seven children who will have to witness their mother being publicly subjected to horrifying false and slanderous allegations. Elections have consequences and this is one is the great results which would never be possible but for the outcome of the presidential election in 2016. . #SCOTUS #AmyBarrett #AnyConey #AmyConeyBarrett #SupremeCourt #Adoption #notredame #Trump #ACB
15.01.2022 Did you know The song "It Is Well With My Soul" was written by a successful Christian lawyer Horatio Spafford. His only son died at age 4 in 1871. In 1872, th...e great Chicago fire wiped out his vast estate, made from a successful legal career. In 1873 he sent his wife & 4 daughters over to Europe on a summer trip on the ill fated SS Ville du Havre. Since he had a lot of work to do, he planned to follow them later. The Ship sank and he lost his 4 daughters with the wife being the only survivor. She sent him a famous telegram which simply read, "SAVED ALONE...." On his return home, his Law firm was burned down and the insurance company refused to pay him. They said "It's an Act of God". He had no money to pay for his house and no work, he also lost his house. Then while sitting and thinking what's happening to him, being a spiritual person, he wrote a song - "Whatever, my Lord, You have taught me to say - It is well, it is well with my soul". My dear friend, a good attitude will determine your altitude. When you look at your life, career, job or family life, what do you say? Do you praise God? Do you blame the devil? A good attitude towards God makes Him move on your behalf. Just sit down and say, "Today, God, it is well with my soul, I am thankful I had a peaceful sleep, I am thankful I am alive with possibilities, I am thankful I have a roof over me, I am thankful I have a job, I am thankful that I have Family and Friends. Above all, I am thankful that I have the Lord Jesus Christ on my side." Be blessed and don't be envious or shocked when others are prospering because you don't know what they have been through to get there (test, trials and tribulation) so thank God for what you have. "Little is much when God is in it. It Is Well With My Soul!" If God is for us, who can be against us? See more
11.01.2022 I came to faith in Jesus half way through my daughter’s drug addiction, five years ago. It was such a hard time. We lost my mum, my aunty and my daughter’s bes...t friend, all in the space of three months. It was too much for my daughter. She became addicted to ice and during her addiction I took care of her son." "It was really hard. My husband and I were suddenly looking after a three-year-old boy, as well as managing my retail shop in town. And because of my business, I didn’t want other people knowing about my daughter’s drug addiction. I felt the stigma of it and I didn’t want to tell anyone. Eventually, I was in such a mess, that I went to the doctor and I told him what was going on. "He gave me a piece of paper with a lady’s name on it. She was a mental health clinician and she counselled me for three days. The most helpful thing was learning that we can’t control what others say, think and do. It’s not our responsibility. We are not in control of our loved one’s addiction. It also helped me to network with services that would help her when she was ready. "But half way through that year, I also started going to church. "I think I was searching for some sort of calm through my massive storm. My parents had been Christians and invited me to church but I always said no. I used to say that it’s not my thing. But when I started looking after my grandson, I started going to his [Christian] school assemblies. I really liked the songs the children sang. They were pretty hip for Christian music. I’d go home and find them on the internet and I’d put them on the playlist on my phone. I even changed my radio to Vision Christian Media. "So then I decided to go to the church on the school grounds. The first time I went, I met a gentleman who had known my mum and dad. He knew all about their faith journey and he shared it with me. It was fantastic! It made me feel so much closer to my parents. But that first year, everywhere I went, the same verse would pop up. It was John 3:16. 'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.' "That verse was everywhere and I’d never heard it before. I’d never read the Bible before but it was telling me something. I saw it on the back of the church newsletter, then up on the screen after the sermon, then on a billboard near our local restaurant, then in a book for parents of addicts. "Every time I saw it, I cried. God was telling me that it was okay and that he loved me, and that he had given up his son Jesus for me. "I believed it. I’m so thankful to God. He has been with me all the time, I just didn’t know him. I’ve also come to realise that God uses us to help others. My journey through my daughter’s addiction has let me connect with so many parents to help them through their child’s addiction. I have a red couch at the back of my shop and people always come and sit to share their journeys, and with God’s grace I am able to help them. "My family has also been restored. My daughter is now three years clean. And it was because of my journey that I was able to help her to get the help she needed. How amazing is it to have my God in my life! 04.01.2022 A PRAYER for 2021: I pray FOR the Church to arise out of the ashes and disruption of 2020, and emerge as the leading force against the schemes of hell itself. ... To rewrite the script that says the Church is being dismantled, but rather, that it is being retrofitted for a task worthy of ushering in the Lord’s return. I pray AGAINST every evil power that has attempted to discourage, divide, and sow discord in the world. I pray that the Sword of the Spirit will dismantle it’s platforms and expose it’s motives and all of it’s strategies. I pray FOR a HOPE to emerge among God’s people, that LIGHT would invade every place that darkness has held a grip on, that FAITH would dispel the fears that have gripped men’s souls, that LOVE would be the prevailing response to a broken, lost, and hurting world. I pray AGAINST the oppression that has gripped the hearts of many, the fears that have immobilized fathers and mothers, the depression and hopelessness that has enveloped multitudes, the loneliness and isolation of so many, and the lies that have attempted to find root in the depth of our souls. I pray FOR the power of the Holy Spirit to spawn a fresh wave of miracles across the earth. For compassion towards our neighbors to flow like a river. For generosity to be demonstrated relentlessly across the land. For forgiveness to flow like a river. For peace to rise up in our homes, our cities, and our nation. For the goodness of God to overtake the evil of this present world. I pray that a line in the sand will be drawn. Old things are passed away. New things will begin in 2021. In Jesus Name!! See more
