25.01.2022 The bush fires may have gone off the front page news, but the suffering continues! I am putting out a call for all concert and brass bands around Sydney to go o...nline and buy a ticket for this concert. We still have a long way to go to fill the 850 seat concert hall. Can I ask that one person in each band be a champion who will promote this very worthy project in their local Band. All proceeds of the concert will go to the Bush Fire Disaster Relief Appeal... Adults $10..Concession $5, Children under 16 Free. Even if you can't make it, buy a ticket to support. www.trybooking.com/BHQQT See more

24.01.2022 Happy players, happy audience, happy shopkeepers. What more could we ask for!

23.01.2022 A limited group of LCB players resumed rehearsing on the 5th of August with a COVID safety plan in place that was approved by the Inner West Council's WHS and Well Being Manager. In line with current NSW Health Department public orders, the number of players was limited to 20 (plus conductor), with seating position spaced to 4 square metres per player. The chairs and floor were sanitized before and after rehearsal, with players signing in upon entry and not socializing before..., during or after playing. Hand sanitizer and wipes were provided to players as required to wipe down their equipment, with each player bringing a towel to catch fluid from their instruments. Despite the restrictions, those who attended enjoyed once more getting together to play. With New South Wales being in a fluid situation with respect to the pandemic, the committee is monitoring the guidelines for any changes to the current situation and will act accordingly when necessary.

15.01.2022 This is what we love doing!

15.01.2022 This Saturday, ANZAC Day, the 25th of April, our band would usually be present at the dawn service in Loyalty Square, Balmain. This year, of course, that will not happen. However one of our players will sound the Last Post and Reveille (Rouse) at that location at 6.00 am, accompanied by the band's secretary. We understand that many of our players also intend doing something similar in their front yards Lest We Forget

14.01.2022 The Citizenship Ceremony at which we were going to perform this week (Petersham Town Hall) has been cancelled. Our rehearsals have been suspended for the next two weeks. The committee will assess the situation every two weeks
