22.01.2022 Looking to get started in painting and drawing? I've been teaching art for more than 15 years. Classes are run via the Zoom app each Wednesday night from 7pm. All you need is a device that is pointed at your easel or sketchbook. The price is $20 per session or $70 for 4 sessions. Payments are via bank deposit. I teach most major mediums from pencil, charcoal, pastel, oils acrylics, and scratchboard... If you have any questions feel free to get in contact.

12.01.2022 This Sunday we'll be starting our look at painting and drawing still life! Join me over 2 weeks as we look at the basics of still life, starting with how to render a variety of surfaces, composing your objects, lighting the setup and much more. In the first session it will be time to pencil to paper as we look at rendering fabric folds, a favourite starting point in my still life work.... The following session we'll tackle a simple arrangement in the medium of your choice, focusing on blocking in, tonal relationships and textures... 06.01.2022 Got messy with today’s still life demo, using 3 pastels on cartridge paper. The aim for this one was to take a complex subject and simplify without any actual detail, relying on forms and contours to reveal the subject instead. One of my studies from today looking at getting started in still life.
