24.01.2022 Just another day at the office...water tank cleaning at Bannister.

20.01.2022 One of our jobs last week was to clean 4 water tanks on this property at Currawang, and all were in desperate need of a clean. We also installed a Tank Spinner on the main water tank, so now when it rains the majority of the sediment will be directed into the middle of the water tank, away from the outlet. This will ensure that cleaner water will be drawn from the water tank in between cleans.

19.01.2022 Could This Happen To Your Tank? Last year we fabricated and fitted a few sets of steel bands to concrete tanks that we had installed liners in, to reinstate the structural integrity of the tank at full capacity. Horizontal cracks are fairly stable but vertical cracks can render the tank quite unstable. If you don’t ensure your concrete water tank is structurally sound, as a worse case scenario you could find your tank wall giving way under the pressure of however many tonne ...of water you had stored in the tank, as you can see from the picture below. The tank liner provides the waterproof seal to stop the water leaking out, but it will not hold the weight of the water should the the tank wall give way. If you are unsure about the structural integrity of your concrete water tank, fitting steel bands may be the simplest way to give you back your piece-of-mind, and can also potentially avert further movement and cracking of the tank wall in the future.

18.01.2022 WE ARE FULLY OPERATIONAL - COVID-19 Crystal Clear Water Tank Cleaning will continue to operate as long as we are allowed to. With all the uncertainty at the mom...ent, the last thing on people's mind may be the quality of their tank water. Having clean water to drink, cook and wash is a necessity, particularly during this COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown period. Thankfully current advice from the World Health Organisation regarding COVID-19 is that the risk to water supplies is low. During the current COVID-19 situation we have introduced strict protocols to maintain the health and safety of our customers and ourselves. We use hand sanitiser between jobs and there is no need for you to greet us in person or be outside with us while we are working. We also encourage you to take advantage of payments by EFT and invoicing by email. 17.01.2022 The family at this property at Lake Innes needed to replace their washing machine due to sludge in their water tank. They were not aware of how dirty the tank ...was until their washing came out stained and dirty. Space saving water tanks are generally installed in residential areas as a water-wise measure for use in the laundry and bathroom. These are a handy size but with a smaller floor area, sediment build up reaches the outlet much quicker than in a larger tank. It is therefore very important they are checked regularly and cleaned when sediment can be seen. Sludge and sediment poses a real risk of damaging pumps, washing machines and seals on toilets. And if the water is used in the kitchen, could pose a health risk. Check out our website for a recommended maintenance schedule or give John a call on 0432155697 to discuss getting your tank cleaned.

16.01.2022 Brand new look.....same reliable service.

15.01.2022 Well that's the first time we've ever had to clean a water tank where the customer has put a blue loo tablet in the tank to see what the tank is hooked up to.

15.01.2022 We're so happy with our rebranding we though we'd give you another look at the rig.

12.01.2022 How clean is the water in your rainwater tank compared to the water in your swimming pool? What never ceases to amaze us is how many people would never consider swimming in their swimming pool without having it cleaned regularly, but never give any thought to the fact that they drink, cook with, bathe in and wash their clothes in water from a rainwater tank that has in all likely hood, never been cleaned. Both the water in your swimming pool and in your rainwater tank may con...tain a range of microbiological organisms (microbes), including bacteria, viruses and protozoa. The difference being that the water in your swimming pool is filtered and chlorinated and the water in your rainwater tank isn’t. Some of these microbes that are found in the water can cause gastrointestinal illnesses, which can be particularly severe for the very young, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems. So, let’s keep the water in your rainwater tank vs the water in your swimming pool comparison going and look at the possible sources of these microbes, they are almost identical. Potential sources of microbes in the water in your swimming pool may include: Animals, such as dogs some pets like to paddle in the pool on hot days. Dead wildlife for example, frogs, lizards or insects may occasionally drown in your pool. Debris from around the property, such as leaves, grass and dust. Potential sources of microbes in the water in your rainwater tank may include: Faecal material (droppings) deposited by birds, lizards, mice, rats, possums and other animals. Dead animals and insects either washed in from the gutters, or that have drowned in your rainwater tank itself. Debris from around the property, such as leaves, grass and dust. Most domestic rainwater tanks collect water run-off from roofs via guttering and many of the rainwater tanks we come across are 10, 20 and even 30 years old, and they have never been cleaned. Here’s another comparison for you. Let’s say you left your car outside for 10 years without washing it, how much dirt and dust do you think would settle on it over that period of time? Now think about the catchment area of your rainwater tank, which is a lot bigger than the actual rainwater tank, now imagine how much dirt and dust would have been washed into that rainwater tank over the last 10 years, not to mention the other things that have also been accumulating over the same period of time. Fortunately, rainwater tanks can now be cleaned without having to empty them, so we are able to perform regular maintenance cleans on your rainwater tank with minimal water loss and zero downtime. If you are a rainwater tank and/or swimming pool owner, take a look at the water in your swimming pool and how clean the bottom of it is, then take a look at the water in your rainwater tank and how much sediment is visibly sitting on the bottom of it. Chances are your rainwater tank is well overdue for a clean.

11.01.2022 We get the best views from our office, here's a little snapshot of a few.

09.01.2022 Brand New Look.....Same Reliable Service! Huge shout out to BEAR DESIGNS for their awesome work on the new Ranger and trailer.

07.01.2022 We're used to pulling the odd brick, ball, bottle or can from the water tanks we clean, but this is a little extreme.

06.01.2022 No one wants to see their tank losing water, and the cost of repeatedly patching your tank adds up over time. Installing a tank liner is a simple, safe and effective way to return your tank to as new condition. Using quality Australian made tank liners, we can quickly have your tank leak free and ready to use, simply give Leigh a call on 0412 267 600.

06.01.2022 Tips To Keep Your Water Tank Healthy Every three months: Check your gutters are clean to avoid faecal matter being washed into your water tank. Gutter mesh can help limit what ends up in your water tank. Every three months: Check the mosquito mesh on your water tank is in good repair to limit disease-carrying insects and other vermin getting into your water tank.... Every six months: Check the quality of the water in your water tank, looking at the colour, smell and level of sediment. Every six months: Check that the pumps and pipes on your water tank are all intact and functioning. Every two to three years: De-sludge your water tank. It’s recommended you use a qualified contractor to remove the sediment that builds up in your water tank. Source: CSIRO
