18.01.2022 Last year I reached a snap point where I thought enough is enough and set my mind to do whatever it took to getting my body back on track to being and looking healthy. I was not going to accept the old excuses; I'm getting older it's to be expected, my hormones are out of whack, I've tried everything and nothing works........ and so on! I was determined I was not going to sit back and think "well this is my lot in life". My father passed away at a young age of 60 having strug...gled with the complications of type 2 diabetes and after seeing what he went through I didn't want to give that disease any leverage in my life! I had heard and knew about Metabolic Precision for a while but to be honest thought it as "just another diet or fad" so hadn't look into it further. I looked at all the people I knew that had done the MP program and continued to live the lifestyle and decided that they all looked fit, healthy and happy, just like I wanted to. I cannot lie. It hasn't always been easy and I've had my little tantrums every now and then but thankfully my coach was patient and understanding and kept me going as I was and am still on a journey to seeing how MP can change the way I look and feel. So far I feel good and someday I know I'm going to feel great, it's just a matter of time and living the MP lifestyle it's not something I feel I ever want to give up.

10.01.2022 Have you ever had a membership to something because you have big intentions of doing something to change, only to waste hundreds of dollars on it because you never followed up with the membership? I'm sure I am not the only one who has had all the intentions in the world to "get fit" and have signed up for a gym membership only to waste it and attend a handful of times. How about the 'no joining fee' memberships where you feel a little bit more in control because you don't h...ave to pay for a year up front? How long has that lasted??? With me not very long. So what is it that causes us to have these intentions, spend the money only to waste the money? Why do we do this? Accountability! If we don't have to be accountable for anything then it is very easy to make excuses not to do something - i.e. "I'll start next week", "I'm too tired today", "I'm too busy this week", "I should rather be doing....", "no-one will notice...", "just a little... won't hurt", "I'll make up for it next week", and the list goes on and on. Don't worry I know all the excuses, I'm the queen of them! I've hired exercise equipment, tried taking myself for swimming sessions (I used to coach swim squad so I know how to do a session on my own), taken out numerous gym memberships (I got to a stage of actually forcing myself to the gym and lying on the gym mat not doing anything, hey at least I was 'going' to the gym!), tried all sorts of diets but because I didn't have to be accountable to anyone I failed in the long run (sometimes in the short run) with all of these. Metabolic Precision is great as the program is done online and there is some form of accountability required each week. As a MP coach I will be advising on changes that might need to made, encouraging progress and assessing or critiquing weekly tasks. By completing the tasks each week you become aware of what you have learnt or what you need to look into a little more. I will know when tasks have been completed or not therefore will be encouraging all my clients to complete them as part of their accountability. If you think you need to start on a program that will help you transform your body and want accountability then feel free to enquire about MP nutrition any time.

10.01.2022 So many people are under the misconception that in order to lose weight and stay fit and healthy you need to do more exercise and work harder. I have also heard countless amounts of people say they would like to get fit or lose weight and so they say they are "going to start eating healthily". What does that mean? In todays age where there are a million and one diets, fads, gimmicks, eating styles etc how would one know what 'healthy eating' is? We are all bombarded with the ...latest crazes or fads out there on the market and so choosing something that is 'going to work' for us is very confusing. I was one of these people and know all too well how frustrating it is trying to find something that is going to 'stick'! Something that I could do that wasn't going to require me to exercise more (I was already doing up to 10 hours a week - how much more could a then nearly 50 year old do and maintain without falling apart???) Something that wouldn't require me to only eat a certain amount of calories, or a certain type of food or feel deprived of enjoying a coffee or a wine. I wanted to feel like I could still 'live' a normal life and not resent the fact that my metabolism wasn't functioning like I would like it to. Metabolic Precision is that 'something'. The program has been successfully running for over 20 years and so is not a new fad but is rather a scientifically developed and clientele proven way of life. I do not feel deprived of any food, am never hungry (unless I have inadvertently missed a meal) and do focussed exercise for 3 hours a week. Sure, the weight hasn't just fallen off like it did on some of the diets, but at least I know that my body is changing gradually as my metabolism improves and I know I can sustain this way of life as it is a new healthy normal for me now.

07.01.2022 I have tried every diet I have come across and lost count of how many I have been on. I was always looking for the next best thing that was going to get me to look the way I wanted, and although many of them "worked" I always managed to put all the weight back on again and more. As an international swimmer growing up I never knew how to eat to fuel or refuel my body and no matter how hard I trained I was always 'chunky'. As an adult I competed at the top level in outrigging ...and trained intensively but still struggled with my weight and starved myself to try get lean. Last year I found Metabolic Precision which has taught me how to eat to establish an efficient metabolism whilst doing less hours of exercise I have ever done and eat more delicious food than I have ever done. I turned 50 this year and feel great. I believe in all that Metabolic Precision nutrition has to offer and have done my Metabolic Precision Nutrition certification so that I can help others transform their bodies in a realistic, sustainable and healthy way. *no gimmicks *no magic potions *no product sales *no calorie counting *no portion weighing An education that will set you up to l live a healthy, happy, young life. 03.01.2022 How do you stop being a serial weigher? What do I mean? Well for 30 plus years I formed a habit of weighing myself every day, which I know was and is an unhealthy habit as it determines what kind of a mood I was going to be in that day. I relied on the scales to tell me whether I had eaten badly or not exercised enough the previous day and I even started weighing myself before and after a strenuous workout. Nuts I know but it was an addiction. I know I'm not alone in this as ...I have met people just like me and it's a habit built up over years of worrying about your weight, size and health. I thought I was justified in my addiction as I put on weight just by looking at food! It was not uncommon for me to gain 2kg in one weekend of splurge eating and so a fear of food developed as a result of this. Why do I feel I need to tell you this? Well I can say I have now kicked the habit/addiction and I am free of being under the influence of a mood meter! MP has taught me that is not about the numbers on the scales but about how I feel and what I do. I have learnt that food is not the enemy but can be the solution if you learn what to eat at the right time. I am able to eat an abundance of food at regular intervals all whilst getting leaner. I don't have to exercise to excessive amounts in fact I've gone from doing about 10 hours or more of exercise a week to 3 hours a week and am as fit as ever but stronger. If you would like to know more about learning how to live a MP life like me please let me know, I would love to help you.
