18.01.2022 Some great tips from MC guru Warwick Merry. https://pco.asn.au/biggest-webinar-virtual-meeting-mistakes/

17.01.2022 It's been a tough road for everyone over the last six months. On behalf of the team at LA, we hope you RUOK.

17.01.2022 The longer our borders remain shut, the greater risk of job losses in the Events sector. Congratulations on this initiative. Let's get events back on the agenda and our politicians considering the loss of a $37B sector as a result of COVID.

16.01.2022 Social distancing event tech trialled in Canberra Yesterday the National Convention Centre Canberra (NCCC) played host to the first in-person social distancing technology trial of a smart e-badge developed by Harry the Hirer. The solution consists of a small disc attached to an event lanyard, and alerts users through discrete vibration when social distancing is less than one-and-a-half metres. The e-badge then resets once delegates appropriately distance themselves. The succe...ssful trial at the National Convention Centre Canberra (NCCC) was the first of its kind for the industry, and occurred during a Canberra Region Tourism Advisory Forum briefing. Congratulations to the teams trying to get the Business Events industry back on it's fee.

14.01.2022 We are here today at Mac Point for the launch of The Mind Games. Register a team, participate and raise funds for mental health research. Www.themindgames.com.au

13.01.2022 Calling Tasmanian businesses. Join us.

12.01.2022 We are thrilled to be working on The Mind Games, a game changer for mental health. Welcome to the Silver Sponsor, TasGas.

12.01.2022 We will see more of these incentives in the future to try and get conferences and events happening again. Congratulations to the Gold Coast. These are great incentives and take some of the risk out of holding an event, when we can all travel safely again. https://www.destinationgoldcoast.com//pl/support-campaign

11.01.2022 Great article. Thanks for your continued support of PCOA. Reminder to register for the event, virtually or in person.

10.01.2022 Safe and creative event inspiration What a great idea this is. Hundreds of socially-distanced hearts have started to appear in Bristol in the UK, so that the city can re-open in a safe manner. The initiative was suggested by local businesses, and more hearts are planned to appear in other parks across the area soon.

08.01.2022 Get involved, get a group of friends together to join The Mind Games.

08.01.2022 We have just completed our first virtual international event. 5 days, 80 presenters, 1500 poster presentations. Using the OnAIR platform, from Centium, the Scientific Committee for Antarctic Research was available to 2600 attendees. Completed in just six weeks from planning to delivery, it was a massive achievement. Thanks to all the team as we provided live technical support throughout the day and night to accommodate the global audience. Special thanks to digital conference manager Helene, and our digital control room technical team Britt and Ange who worked tirelessly to ensure that we delivered all our client requests. It was an outstanding success. Photo is of Ange and Helene. We missed you Britt for our celebratory beverage. Thank you.

06.01.2022 We are supporting local Tassie businesses. This is a great one. If you haven't thought about Father's Day ... why not join your Dad on a great day out.

06.01.2022 This is amazing news, hopefully we can restart the industry. To our clients we will be in touch as soon as we know how we can access this funding.

06.01.2022 "Five friends or five colleagues, five times the fun" This campaign proposes another way for people to get involved - if not a single business, five small busin...esses, five colleagues (or friends) coming together to support a great cause, and have an amazing day that you will remember for a long time! If your team signs up before 20th November you will get invited to our networking party and if you sign up before December 10th you will go in the draw to win a $2500 prize! Raise the red flag for mental health. www.themindgames.com.au

05.01.2022 The Tasmanian government has announced a framework to reopen the business events sector. We are very excited about this news. Starting from 1 December, requirements will ease. https://www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au//A-Framework-for-COVID-

04.01.2022 The wonderful part about our job is we get the opportunity to meet many people from different walks of life. One of those was the wonderful Layton Hodgetts OAM. Layton's passion for music, teaching and finding the best in everyone set him apart. I had the opportunity of working with Layton on a number of projects for his beloved Derwent Valley Concert Band. Layton was one of life's gentlemen. He will be sadly missed, but I'm sure the music will live on.

03.01.2022 The mind games launch is underway. Special shout out to our gold sponsor, TasNetworks. Thanks to CEO Lance Balcombe and his team for their ongoing support. #tasnetworks #TheMindGames

02.01.2022 We are very lucky to have some amazing clients, and one of those clients is Choice Aggregation. Choice are partners with RUOK; and today had Jeff Kennett speak to their members. Jeff's parting comments were "Appreciate the Gift of Life". If you'd like to make a donation to RUOK, Choice gave $50K last year; and this year and looking to raise more funds. https://ruokworkplaceevents.everydayhero.com/au/r-u-ok-day-1

01.01.2022 Great article Peter. Wise words, as business owners we don't have the ultimate solution; I've got scenario A, B, C, and D as well.

01.01.2022 Is your company looking for ways to help the Tasmanian community. Consider sponsoring The Mind Games. We are searching for a Silver sponsor.
