19.01.2022 Spontaneous synchronization. Metronomes of the same frequency and resting on the same base are started randomly. They synchronize after a short period of time. ...In this case the base is free to move. In 1657, Christian Huygens was the first to observe this phenomenon in the form of clock synchronization. The phenomenon of spontaneous synchronization is found in circadian rhythms, heart& intestinal muscles, insulin secreting cells in the pancreas, menstrual cycles, ambling elephants, marching soldiers, and fireflies, among others. 17.01.2022 Introducing... Chedeville SAV Clarinet Mouthpieces *** Many clarinet players absolutely loved the BG Franck Bichon B1 and B2 clarinet mouthpieces. When BG stopped making these mouthpieces a few years ago, part of the clarinet playing world went into mourning, because an alternative wasn't offered.... Together with the incredibly generous Mark Walton, we spent some time looking for this alternative, and we found a brilliant one. We are incredibly proud to introduce the Chedeville SAV line-up. The first 8 mouthpieces sold out in less than 2 months, but we have more stock on the way. Read all about it in our latest blog post https://lcwb.com.au/new-chedeville-sav-clarinet-mouthpieces/

11.01.2022 Vito Reso-Tone clarinet resurrected to continue its life at a local primary school. Just because it's an older instrument, it doesn't necessarily mean they should be thrown out. This school now has a great playing clarinet at a fraction of the cost of our purchasing a new one. A good decision #vito #clarinet #clarineta #clarinetservice #klarinette #klarinet #кларнет #smallbusinesschallenge #leisurecoast #wollongong #wollongongbusiness #wollongongsmallbusiness #illawarrabusinesscommunity #illawarra #illawarrabusiness #illawarrasmallbusiness #southcoastnsw #coalcoast #wollongongmusicscene #musicalinstrumentrepairs @illawarrasmallbusinessnetwork @theillawarraplug @illawarrabusinesscommunity

11.01.2022 Big shout out to @alexmillier and his clarinet colleagues of the @wasymphonyorchestra for willing to give these @steuer_reeds a really thorough test run. Steuer reeds are made in France using the same cane as Vandoren, though Steuer grows their cane 100% organically - and that's important to us. Available for all common saxes, Eb/Bb/bass clarinet in multiple cuts.... Absolutely worth a try. Link in bio. Early review below. #Repost @alexmillier Perth, Western Australia Thanks to Peter @leisurecoastwindandbrass for the opportunity to try some Steuer French cut clarinet reeds. First impressions today are very good. So far on my Vandoren B40 Lyre mouthpiece, I’m liking the ‘Classic’ and ‘Exclusive’ strength 4. Early days, but after playing Legére European Signature 3.75 for quite some time, it’s nice to discover some good quality cane again! Thanks Peter! I’ll get on to the E flat and bass clarinet reeds soon!

07.01.2022 Weirdest trombone I've ever seen!

04.01.2022 Spare parts for a number of our our Syrinx brand instruments. Unlike for most Chinese-mafe instruments offered on the market these days we can actually source spare parts without a single problem. It makes a huge difference, because why buy an instrument that cannot be fixed if something breaks? We don't like those throw-away instruments, and that's why we only work with manufacturers who are willing to supply us with spare parts AND who make a quality product that is built t...o last! #syrinxmusicalinstruments #syrinx #spareparts #madeinchinaisntalwaysabadthing #flute #clarinet #saxophone #sax #trumpet #frenchhorn #trombone #cornet #euphonium #leisurecoast #wollongong #wollongongbusiness #wollongongsmallbusiness #illawarrabusinesscommunity #illawarra #illawarrabusiness #illawarrasmallbusiness #southcoastnsw #coalcoast #wollongongmusicscene #musicalinstrumentrepairs @illawarrabusinesscommunity
