22.01.2022 Volkswagen 1.4L Twin Charge CAVD/CTHD full rebuild for this Tiguan. These engines are fitted in various Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. Unfortunately they suffer commonly from low compression due to cracked pistons. This one had an irreparable scratched bore, so we rebuilt a secondhand engine for the customer, modified pistons and rings, updated engine control unit software, replaced conrod bearings, timing chain kit, all gaskets and seals etc. = one happy customer for years to come. 19.01.2022 Volkswagen Passat visited our workshop with a barrage of warning lights on the dash. Vehicle in limp mode. Told by dealer can’t look at it for 2 weeks. 09.01.2022 Thermostat housing replacement on a Audi S3. These are prone to failure on a lot of VAG group models - MK6 GTI, Tiguan, MK7 Golf GTI, MK 7 Golf R, Audi A4, Volkswagen Passat etc etc. We also replace the union pipe and belt too plus completely flush the coolant with G13++. 07.01.2022 Just another Volkswagen Audi Group 7 speed DSG Mechatronic unit repair... Pressure accumulator housing cracked, clutch plunger for K2 clutch bearing worn beyond specification (causes a no reverse situation). Removal of Mechatronics, inspections of DSG gear sets, disassemble and rebuild if required. Disassemble mechatronics and rebuild as required - Pressure accumulator, internal filter, new valve block, repair or rebuild shift solenoids, replace internal harness, clean all co...mponents, replace hydraulic oil, replace gearbox oil, reassemble, basic set and adaptions. We get it all almost every day but I need to take my car back to the dealer for logbook servicing to keep my manufactures warranty this is wrong and not true, no matter what your dealer says or tries to make you believe. Under Australia Consumer Law, page 28 - Common issues (segment attached) you are under no requirement to take your vehicle to the deal...er for servicing to maintain your warranty. 01.01.2022 Volkswagen / Audi / Skoda thermostat housings. These are very common to leak. The reason? VAG fit a full plastic housing. As you can see these housing are prone to crack due to swelling of the seals. This car (Audi A4) has had 2 of these replaced already elsewhere with another like for like plastic housing. At LeMans we fit full Aluminium housings (pictured) these are original OEM equipment housings, the Aluminium housings do not crack like the plastic ones, resulting in a pe...rmanent fix!
