20.01.2022 Biryani has been a desi favourite for decades now. Most of our celebrations (unless religious) are incomplete without a good serve of this steaming, aromatic basmati rice based dish! According to one story it was Mumtaz Mahal that invented biryani. She noticed their soldiers looking weak and malnourished and ordered the Royal cooks to make a meat and rice based dish so the soldiers would be fed well.
