19.01.2022 Restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne haven't stopped our community from having fun at Classic Residences! Located in Bayside Melbourne, the village team were keen to organise a pirate-themed treasure hunt that would keep within safe physical distancing rules but still allow residents to have a good time. Residents registered to ensure a staggered start and were placed in pairs to help newer residents form friendships. They met in the village cafe and were given a 'survival... pack' including water and chocolates, a treasure map, and their first cryptic clue. Each clue led the pair to their next clue, with 10 clues in total. The path to the treasure led the residents past some key village landmarks until they found a collection of numbered golden coins to take back to the cafe to claim their lucky treasure. Prizes included an assortment of wine, cocktails, lunch and dinner vouchers from the restaurant. Take a look at some of the photos of our residents and staff involved on the day!

01.01.2022 Polish-born Waverley Country Club resident, Zygmunt Swistak recently began trading letters with local children with the same heritage through an intergenerational letter exchange program launched by Australian Multicultural Community Services. Fondly known as Ziggy within the community at Waverley Country Club, the 96 year old says that the letters were one way to stay mentally healthy during a pandemic.
