25.01.2022 As a Youth Leader.. your story may be similar to mine. You may be volunteering a lot in your community as you love working with youth. Maybe even whilst teaching at school during the day.... Yet, you’re not too keen to keep up that lifestyle and be a slave to outdated systems. You’re craving more.. because you know you can be more. So you are wanting to build your side hustle youth coaching and/or speaking on stages. But it doesn’t have to stop there. This is exactly where I started. I started my side hustle. Then, the vision grew when parents started to hire me as a mindset & confidence coach for their teens. It then grew to building a youth coaching and speaking business which eventually would replace my teaching job. I thought to myself... sh*t I can actually do this. You know what makes this even better? Completely independent of outdated systems in the market. Please don’t mistaken the intention of this post. I’m not the most known youth leader in the market. I started as a classroom teacher, a youth church leader and basketball coach passionate about kids. I was playing behind the scenes and was unknown. But, I knew my results for kids spoke for themselves. So, I took the leap of faith. If I can do it.. in an education market that is saturated by leaders telling me that I can’t.. So can you! Therefore.. the next time you hit a roadblock and question whether you should be doing this, I want you to remember that I’m here in your corner to push you to keep going. Our work is needed. I am so passionate about empowering remarkable youth leaders to get out from behind the scenes & become paid coaches & speakers. 01.01.2022 Leaders in the education market who want to build a Youth Coaching & Speaking Business... You may be saying this to yourself at the moment... I've just recently done my certification as a youth coach/speaker or in the process of or ... I have my university degree as a teacher, psychologist or counselor. Or whatever it might be.... What's the best next thing to get into business? Should I get more qualifications? These are valid questions and very common ones from youth leaders who are in the early stages of building their business. Now, you've got the certification, you've got a degree, or in the process of attaining these. But, real experience & getting results in the market is going to give you clarity and authority. Don’t get caught up with enrolling in more courses, like most academics. More pieces of paper with your name on it will not matter if you don’t have clarity on the following.. Who you want to serve. Are they teens, parents or teachers? How to package your pastoral gifts into a premium coaching/speaking program. How to do sales and marketing to get parents & teachers paying you a premium for your services. Align your business with your vision, so you no longer become a slave to outdated systems in the education market. Now.. I’m not saying don't further invest in certifications. Just don’t get caught in that cycle. Now that I’ve expressed what not to get stuck with.. you now need to focus on mastering... The BUSINESS of coaching and speaking in the EDUCATION MARKET.
