25.01.2022 Happy Friday from adorable little Gracie here, snug as a bug in her special carry bag/bed with her doting adoptive mum Melinda. Grace was here for a re-check on her upset tummy which is feeling much better, and she’s resumed her position as Queen Bee at home. We love you Gracie!

24.01.2022 A very big happy birthday to our amazing Dr. Evan . We are so lucky to have such a compassionate, hard-working, hilarious and exceptionally skilled veterinarian to captain this ship. From peacocks to pythons, from kittens to Great Danes, we’re sure all of your colourful patients are just as grateful for you too!

22.01.2022 Gorgeous Jezza here was rushed in last week after sticking her head in a hole and coming out with a suspected snake bite. Blood tests confirmed our suspicions and she was treated immediately. Despite the stress and pain of the situation, Jezza was an angel receiving her treatment and care, and we’re happy to report that thanks to the quick actions of her owner, the antivenom and the intensive care, she survived the ordeal and went home the next day (Here she is with nurse Nat after being given the all clear) . Keep that nose out of trouble Jezza!

19.01.2022 How handsome is Klyde? This gorgeous boy had a few lumps removed with us last week and we could NOT stop visiting his suite to tell him how handsome he was . Get well soon Klyde!

17.01.2022 Happy 4th birthday to our Enzo! Clearly very impressed with his birthday badge and party . This little prince is responsible for many laughs had in the clinic, as well as the cat hair in our coffee, cryptic messages typed on the computer and teeny bites taken out of our lunch . Happy Friday from the birthday boy!

10.01.2022 Little Pickle the lorikeet was in a bit of a pickle last week with a broken toe that was becoming gangrenous . Dr Evan performed surgery to remove the troublesome toe, and Pickle went home that afternoon with some stitches and strict orders to keep the dancing to a minimum as it heals. Get well soon Pickle!

10.01.2022 Have you ever seen 17 teeny baby blue tongues before? Well today is your lucky day! These beautiful baby blueys belong to a client here at Lennox Head Vet, and are way too cute not to share! Does anyone else hear the Jurassic Park theme while looking at that first pic? Like hungry little velociraptors!

08.01.2022 How cute is little Tofu?! Tofu has been seeing a lot of us lately after being diagnosed with heart disease. Shih Tzus are prone to heart conditions, which can show up in dogs young and old. Doing a comprehensive work-up including X-rays and heart scoring is the best way to determine how far along heart disease is, and importantly, how best to manage it. Gorgeous Tofu went home with some medication and diet food to help keep him trim, and a few extra kisses and cuddles from us (that face!) .

06.01.2022 Happy Friday from one of our favourite little munchkins, Rufus du Nugget !! You may remember Rufus from an earlier post when he was teeny tiny, but big boy Rufus is now 7 months old and was here to see us this week after an altercation with a stink bug . Rufus’ eye is on the mend which is great for Rufus but we miss him already. Keep out of trouble monsieur Nugget!!

06.01.2022 Enzo has taken a liking to Evan’s family heirloom hiding in the staff room, this majestic taxidermy Tawny . Should we tell him his friend is expired or let them continue their unlikely friendship?

05.01.2022 Happy Friday from Tommy the Terrapin! We hope somebody looks at you the way Tommy is looking at the camera here.

03.01.2022 Bruce the peacock came in last week with a swollen eye that was causing the handsome lad a bit of trouble. Dr Evan sedated him to investigate and found an abscess behind the eye the size of a golf ball (!), which he carefully drained and flushed. A sample of the abscess was sent off to the lab to determine the best way to treat the remaining infection, and Bruce has recovered well and is taking his antibiotics daily in his blueberries! Get well soon Bruce.

03.01.2022 Here’s something you don’t see every day! Meet Bell Man, a Bell’s phase lace monitor in the loving care of The Wildlife Twins .Bell Man came in for a check up with Dr Evan and was a real smoocher, and despite the dinosaur exterior insisted on being cuddled niiiice and close . Note: we do NOT recommend getting this friendly with wild lace monitors (those claws )... Bell Man has been a pet for quite some time and has an acquired taste for snuggles. Thanks for the visit big guy!
