25.01.2022 A very successful SALA opening at Anderson Hill tonight. Thank you to everyone who attended. It was a lovely get together and our young artists were rapt to see their work on the walls.
25.01.2022 Today we had a very interesting talk and dog obedience demonstration by Tim and Mimah Lane with their beautiful dog, Bonny.
25.01.2022 Hope you’re all keeping well and staying safe during the first day of the circuit breaker. I thought I’d take the opportunity to update you on the progress of our uniform. We have now received the logo swatch and have reached the final proof before production commences. It certainly has the tick of approval from my girls who want to come to our school because the uniform is soooo cool. Apologies that I didn’t have access to a model who could wear the appropriate sized top,... but you get the idea. Won’t be too long before you get to see a fully produced top and can order some of your own ready for 2021. Stay safe and we’ll keep you updated on all things school and COVID via email or SkoolBag.
24.01.2022 Some more sports day pics.
24.01.2022 Earlier this term, were able to access a sporting school grant to purchase table tennis equipment. All classes are having weekly table tennis lessons to develop new skills. The JP and MP classes have started with correct grip and ball control. Throughout the term we’ll keep building skills with the plan to have a few whole school tournaments closer to the holidays.
23.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing you all Monday. Please check your email for more school based information.
23.01.2022 Today in Oral Language/Drama the students role played three court cases. The lawyers defending the Plaintiffs and Defendants had to use persuasive language to convince the jury who then had to study exhibit clues to decide who was guilty.
23.01.2022 Science Week was a blast!! All classes were fully engaged in hands on science investigations all week including a series of buddy experiences with their older or younger peers. We spent the week investigating innovative ways to protect our oceans with some classes continuing the learning throughout the remainder of this term.
22.01.2022 Congratulations to these recipients of our Value awards and to Clare for being nominated Aussie of the Month. Cora from Ms. Browne’s class was absent but also received an award.
22.01.2022 Here are some more pics from Science Week. For our next art unit, the older children will be creating dioramas and florist arrangements. If anyone can send some shoeboxes or florist felt blocks (doesn’t matter if they’re damaged) we would really appreciate it.
21.01.2022 The year 2/3/4 class are looking forward to seeing these cute little guys at our Monarto sleep over next term.

14.01.2022 It was 3rd time lucky for our 2020 Sports Day, but what a day it was!! We know many of you are sad you couldn't be there, but we have thousands of photos and videos to share with you. We'll work our way through them over the next couple of days and upload them along the way. Hope you enjoy reliving the wonderful event with your children. Here are a few from the long jump pit.
14.01.2022 Great news for South Australian students. Looking forward to adding this item to our next Governing Council meeting!!
13.01.2022 In today’s Courier.
13.01.2022 We would like to introduce Corinne, who will be with us one day per week for the remainder of the year. Corrine is currently studying and will be working mainly with our JP and MP students and staff. Corinne is enthusiastic and like all of us want to support all children to become the best versions of themselves. Welcome Corinne!
11.01.2022 We had a fabulous assembly this morning. The Yr 2/3/4 class demonstrated what washing and ironing clothes was like in the 1900’s and the R/1/2 class showed their Science Week work and diorama. Unfortunately we had a technology hiccup with the Yr 5/6/7 Power Point Science Week presentations so we look forward to seeing them at our next assembly.
09.01.2022 We were extremely proud of our year 3 and 4 students who ran a beautiful Remembrance Day service this morning. The younger children also spoke with clarity and confidence. Thank you to those who donated lovely flowers to lay near our sleeping soldier.
09.01.2022 Our mosquito music warm up.

06.01.2022 Well what a wonderful time we are having. I am very grateful to Alison for giving up so much time to support our camp( and her brilliant bus driving skills), Carey Hannaford and Tony Martin for being amazingly helpful volunteers. We all so grateful to our gorgeous students who have been model students. We have been so proud of them.
06.01.2022 These students were awarded a book voucher for raising over $100 in the MS Readathon. A huge thank you to every child who participated as each dollar raised goes towards researching a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
06.01.2022 Our Middle Primary students enjoyed the wonderful weather as they continued their softball unit as part of our PE program. We were again fortunate to secure a Sporting Schools grant which will enable every child in the school to access softball, tee ball and baseball as part of their curriculum.
04.01.2022 Today’s assembly was fantastic. The R/1/2 class talked about their ‘Now and Then’ History unit, the 2/3/4 children shared their Science Week boats and the 5/6/7 students showed their Maths/STEM Royal Show work. The choir sang ‘I’m a Spider’ beautifully with a lovely solo from Jemimah Lane. Congratulations to the four certificate award recipients.
04.01.2022 During a STEM lesson our JP students listened to a story about a horse playing hoof ball and decided to see if they could code their bee bots to play a game of buzzball. We found out that coding robots to play a game is tricky, which made it even more exciting when some of them scored a goal.
03.01.2022 These stobie poles were designed and painted four years ago. I have since repainted the Drama pole but the rest are looking a bit tired. If anyone (parents/students) has a spare creative hour during the holidays, please let me know. I would love to bring them back to life.
02.01.2022 The Year 526/7 class are lucky enough to have Laura Tremellen in our classroom. Laura is a 4th Year teaching student at Uni SA and will be with us until the end of term. She is a keen diving coach and that inspired her to become a teacher. Laura lives in Oakbank with her family and the dogs( and the sheep, chickens and an assortment of other critters). Laura is looking forward to further develop her skills and helping students achieve what they once thought was not possible.
01.01.2022 But wait...there’s more!
01.01.2022 Today’s task was to create a plant arrangement. The students realised the art of floral creating is much more involved than it looks.
01.01.2022 Wow what a great end to the term we had with the 5/6/7 class. Our Not so Royal Lenswood Royal show was lots of fun for everyone. The older students made fabulous games for everyone to play and the show bags were a hit. We had pony rides ( or pony sits really under the shelter because of the awful weather). We also had a wonderful talent show full of singing, dancing, magic and jokes. Our students made us proud. We then finished off the term with a class sleep over. The kids were so well behaved and were a pleasure to work with. We said farewell to Laura ( our student teacher). Thank you to all those who helped make our end of term event such a success. We are so lucky to be in such a great community with amazing students and families.
