16.01.2022 A selection of new boards we will have available this Saturday at the Cheeky Monkey Market at Forest Hill Shopping Centre in Canterbury Rd, Forest Hill from 9am - 5pm. The first photo is a tamarind cutting board, the second and fourth are Blackwood, cupboard doors from a 1913 build house, and the third are beautiful Tasmanian Blackheart Sassafras.

15.01.2022 A busy couple of days in the workshop coming up finishing off a number of projects in the pipeline. Have had some great assistance over the last few weeks getting ready to head back to the markets. A number of new products will be available at our first market back on Monday 27th at The Mermaid Sorority Market at Cowes Football Ground down on Phillip Island. We will be attending a number of new markets and events this year plus continuing our attendance at many of our favourites including the Highland Games in Wantirna in March.

13.01.2022 And another new product line, wall mounted guitar hangers. What better way to display your instrument than with a custom hanging decoration. First photo is a piece of Camphor Lauryl with a significant heartwood streak and the second is a slice of Tasmanian Eucalyptus Burl from Stanley in Eastern Tasmania. Both of these feature a Woodie Instrument hanger and can hold up to 22kg if fastened into timber and available for $55 each. Any custom pieces the price may vary due to different types of timbers.

10.01.2022 I love the smell of working Huon Pine. With Camphor and Walnut they are the nicest smelling of the timbers I regularly use and are a pleasure to work. Gearing up for the last 3 weekends before Xmas, this weekend sees us at the Lower Plenty Cricket Club Ladies Wellness Night Saturday Evening with the Craft Market Mornington Racecourse Market Sunday. The 15th we will be at Designer Markets Christmas Market in Beaumaris and on the 21st we will be back in Greensborough Plaza for those last minute gifts

This Sunday see's us at the new Doncaster Hill Market from 8am - 1pm at the Mannigham Civic Centre 699 Doncaster Rd, Doncaster. Come check out all the new products we will be featuring at this event and Covid19 guidelines will be enforced. 08.01.2022 Been a busy day in the workshop doing final preparations for Springfest in Ballarat this Sunday. Conner and I have made a collection of new boards many camphor lauryl (Photos 3, 4 & 5 ), a beautiful reclaimed Blackwood piece from an old farmhouse (Photo 2) and some Huon Pine Plates (Photo 1). We will be at Springfest this Sunday in Area G on the northern side of Lake Wendouree. We do also offer a delivery service in Ballarat at the end of the day for local not wanting to carry their boards all day.

07.01.2022 Some of the new Huon Pine dinner plate sized coasters. Varying in size from 15cm to 25cm these are oblique cuts from Huon Pine retrieve from underwater in the Huon River in southern Tasmania. Starting at $20 these are a very unique coaster or plate made from a stunning native timber. These will be available at this Saturdays Market at Blackburn Station Craft Market from 9am - 1pm.

Even though we are not doing markets, we are still working every day and are happy to take orders via message, email or phone although we often dont hear the phone whilst running tools. 06.01.2022 Some of the new boards we will have this Sunday at the Lancefield Show. The Show is on Sunday 20th October from 9am-4pm at Lancefield Recreation Reserve on Rochford Rd, Lancefield. Featuring during the day will be Showjumping, Dog Trials, Tractor Pull, Woodchopping, Market Stalls and lots of rides for all ages. A great day out just over an hour from Melbourne

01.01.2022 Meet Blue, the latest serving board Ive made. The shape was the actual piece of Lebanese Cedar. My only cuts on this were on the nose where I rounded off the corners. Shouldnt be to hard to work out where I got the name from. Blue will be with me at the Lancefield Show tomorrow

01.01.2022 One of the things I love most about working with timber is finding those special wow pieces. Over the last week Ive been lucky to find a number of them. 1/ Tasmanian Eucalyptus Burl Slices 2/ Blackheart Sassafras Boards 3/ American Walnut with heavy Fiddleback 4/ Tasmanian Myrtle Fiddleback 5/ Redgum Fiddleback. When Im working with these timbers I feel all I have to do is highlight their beauty. The timber is what tells the story

01.01.2022 This is why I love woodworking; the results you get with beautiful Australian timbers. My philosophy has always been that if you use stunning timber you dont need paint or stains. These have just been done with a natural oil clear coat which just brings out the feature and grain of the timber. The first 3 photos are a Redgum cross cut slice on a Mallee Root base. Photos 4 and 5 are of a Redgum Burl slice and will be on 3 black steel legs. Both of these coffee tables will be on display at this weekends markets at Greensborough and Caroline Springs
