22.01.2022 Colour correction on an Attempted DIY. Yellow/orange banding and purple overtoned patches with uneven porosity made this a 4 hour multi application process. Nailed it tho before shot included at the end

20.01.2022 Before/after. Bianca had asked elsewhere for balayage for her first ever colour but received foils which were dull and brassy so we corrected the base by deepening the roots and brightened the ends

A lifetime of black home box dye presents a multitude of potential risk upon lightening: Chemical reactions and instability in lightening, potential pigment buildup and banding (uneven colour), and most importantly, potential sensitisation of the hair. I’m always honest with my clients about the potential risks before attempting any colour correction, but also wouldn’t have done this if I thought the hair would be compromised. ... I gently lightened the hair in three stages and then applied colour to correct the tone and even it out. No hairs were harmed! A 5 hour marathon, this was definitely the biggest challenge of my career to date.
