24.01.2022 Track Attack entries will not open until at least 7th December. We are waiting for the government announcement due on Sunday 6th December to see whether event limits increase.

18.01.2022 Hi Everyone So we had another successful social ride this evening with over 20 kids riding at one point. This was great to see and clearly shows the BMX club is needed in this region. Thank you to everybody who came down, it was great to see and chat with you, apologies to those who I didn't get a chance to speak with tonight.... Next week will be our last Wednesday night social ride for 2020 (the 25th), however we will be having one more SOCIAL/ CASUAL ride for the year on Sunday the 29th of November. This session will run from 11:30am until 1:30/2:00pm. A number of members from the Lilydale BMX Club will also be attending, this is a great opportunity for you all to meet some new people and riders with experience in BMX racing. I would recommend attending. I'm hoping to have a BBQ and some drinks available for lunch as a fundraiser for the club, this will be confirmed closer to the date. (If a BBQ isn't confirmed I recommend bringing water and some lunch with you). This will also provide the opportunity to discuss the club and how it moves forward into 2021. At the moment it's just myself running this club, I'm wearing multiple hats and will need help next year. So if you would like to get involved please come and see me. I'll take your name and contact details down with the plan on having a club meeting early in 2021 to discuss the next step for the club. If you have any skills, experiences or attributes that could contribute to the club please come and see me next Wednesday or on the 29th. There are multiple roles to fill, Secretary Treasurer Registrar First Aid Track Maintenance Team Coach Officials Sponsorship & Grants Social media to name a few, I understand it can be daunting and/or intimidating to commit to a club, and for some of you considering putting your hand up it may be the first time you've been on a committee. I assure you it's not that bad. I have been on other committee's in the past but this is the first time I've established a club, and I've done majority of this on my own, imagine what could be done as a team! 12.01.2022 Hi Everyone Today we where joined by the Lilydale BMX Club at our track for a social ride. It was a great day (the weather behaved) with almost 50 riders attend...ing with a mix of South Gippsland & Lilydale BMX Club riders. This provided an opportunity for our new South Gippsland members to see some established and experienced BMX riders. A big THANKYOU to the Lilydale BMX Club for coming down today, it was a pleasure to have you at our track and we hope to see you down here a gain in 2021. And another big THANKYOU for your kind donation of the Position One BMX race bike. This will be extremely valued within our club. There were kids already using it today. We also had the Leongatha Fire Brigade cooking up a storm today, providing lunch to the riders and spectators. Thankyou to the Leongatha CFA crew, and we hope to have you down at the track again next year. Thankyou to Brenton at BJ's Earthworks for the last minute drop-off of your skid steer. Thanks for allowing us to use your equipment again to work on the track. Thanks to everyone who has been involved with this project so far, it has been a lot of work getting the track to where it is today, to establish a club, take new members and now be an active club. None of this would have happened without your help. Today was our last club social ride of the year. These ride nights will most likely start at the end of Jan or start of Feb and will be official club activity which will require a membership. 12.01.2022 Hi Everyone We now have South Gippsland BMX Club race plates available for purchase. If you intend on racing you will need one of these.... Replica race plate car stickers and side decals for your bike are also available for purchase. You will need to fill out both order forms and either return to me on a social ride session or email to [email protected] You can choose your race number (subject to availability in the case of a number clash), race numbers need to be 2 or 3 digits (single digit race numbers are reserved for class state, national and world rankings). 12.01.2022 Hi Everyone It looks like it’s going to be a perfect evening for a ride. Please remember to wear your protective gear, a helmet, gloves, long sleeve top, pants and enclosed shoes. This is for the riders protection incase they crash. Also there is no access to water at the track so please remember to bring some water with you.... 04.01.2022 Hi Everyone. Another great turn out tonight. I think we had over 20 kids riding at one point. Thankyou to all who turned up. It will be great to see you all again next week. Hopefully we get another nice dry sunny evening like we did tonight. Tonight I had the pleasure of presenting our first official club member with a South Gippsland BMX Club jersey. Little Angus is a Mini Wheeler and was the first official member to be signed up when we became affiliated. Thankyou Angus, a...nd parents Scott and Clare for supporting the club. There are two more weeks of the casual/ social rides left. I encourage anybody who is interested in participating in BMX to come down. The ride season run from 5:30 to 6:30.
