25.01.2022 BOOROOL ROAD UPDATE - Wednesday, 25th November The Shire have advised us that Blandfords Rd is now open, although there is still heavy machinery working in the area and the edges of the road are still very soft. With this in mind, the current diversion will be in place until the end of this week. For the remainder of this week, the bus will not be passing through Boorool Rd, Blandfords Rd or Mt Vernon Rd.... Families along these roads can meet the bus on the Strz Hwy at Berry's Creek (bus stop approx 8am & 4pm) or the end of Boorool Rd (approx 8:10 am & 4:10pm). The bus will return to its normal route on Monday morning, 30th Nov.



22.01.2022 STUDENT REMINDER - FINAL ASSEMBLY - Tomorrow THURSDAY 17th DECEMBER Our students and staff will be having the final school assembly on the PAC lawn tomorrow Thursday afternoon at 2pm. PLEASE NOTE - Students are to wear their school uniform with a touch of Christmas. eg tinsel, Christmas hats, headbands.... Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions we are not allowed to have parents attend this assembly. Therefore we will be recording the assembly and it will be sent out to our families on Thursday afternoon. School leaders for 2021 will be receiving their badges next year, not at this assembly. SCHOOL FINISHES as normal at 3:15pm

22.01.2022 WELCOME BACK TO TERM 4 On Monday the 5th of October ALL Leongatha Primary School students will return to school. We are really looking forward to welcoming ALL of our students back. There will be staff members to greet students as they are dropped off at Nerrena Road and Horn Street so if you need any support don’t hesitate to speak to a staff member.... Some reminders for the start of term 4: Drop and Go - Parents are not permitted on-site and therefore the drop and go process will continue where parents drop their child/children off either at Horn Street or Nerrena Road. Face masks - must be worn by adults who are entering our school office. Temperature testing - will be carried out with all students as they enter their classrooms School buses All school buses will be operating as normal Unwell students - If your child is unwell they MUST stay at home. If a child is unwell at school parents will be called and asked to take them home. Drink bottles - Students must bring their own drink bottle to school as there will be no drinking taps operating. School Hats - Students must wear a school hat in term 4 for sun protection. Curriculum Day No school for students on Friday the 9th of October as our school has a planned Curriculum Day and this will go ahead as organised. Canteen Canteen Closed Week 1. We are introducing a new online ordering app through Compass. More information in regard to the new online canteen system will be sent out next week. Prep Enrolments - If you have a child that is starting in Prep at our school in 2021 please complete an enrolment form at the office. 17.01.2022 Roadmap to easing coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions in schools: The Victorian Government has released its plan for easing coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions. It includes the following decisions about school operations. All schools will continue to provide remote and flexible learning for the remainder of Term 3, except specialist schools in rural and regional Victoria, consistent with current settings.... 5-9 October (first week of Term 4) Remote and flexible learning will continue for all students, except in specialist schools in rural and regional Victoria. VCE and VCAL students can only attend on-site for essential assessments during this week, including the General Achievement Test (GAT) on Wednesday 7 October. On-site supervision for children of permitted workers and vulnerable students will continue to be provided consistent with existing guidelines. From 12 October Schools in rural and regional Victoria Specialist schools continue with current arrangements. All students (from Prep to Year 12) return to full-time on-site schooling by Friday 16 October. Schools can stagger the return of different year levels as appropriate during this week. This decision can be made by individual schools or networks/clusters of schools. As soon as I receive further clarification from the Education Department I will send it through to you. 14.01.2022 REMINDER - END OF TERM - EARLY DISMISSAL This Friday, 18th September is the end of Term 3. For those students attending on-site, school will finish at 2pm. Busses will be operating running an hour and 15 minutes earlier than normal.

13.01.2022 GRADE 3 COWES CAMP - ETA Grade 3 are running a little late returning to school. Pick up will be 3pm at the busloop.... Given this is very close to end of school and buses will be lining up, ready for the end of school bus runs parents will need to collect their child and leave immediately.
