17.01.2022 Leongathas Show and Shine swap meet and market has been a success, with hundreds taking to the Velodrome to view rare vehicles and the goods at the market.

16.01.2022 Thanks to Kerry Pritchard for these great photos and corresponding detail much appreciated Kerry / 1965 Mustang Convertible, owned by Peter Marygold since 1996, has a 289C code 195bhp motor with 5 speed gearbox 2/ The 1910 IHC (International Harvester Corporation)Autowagon has a 20hp 2 cylinder horizontally opposed air-cooled petrol engine. It has a constant mesh transmission and a top speed of 30kmh on the flat and coasts downhill!. Stuart Landry has o...wned the car for 2 years. 3/ The 1948 Dodge Special De Luxe has been owned by Michael Monks for 6 years. Most of a rebuild was done by 2014 in SA . It was built in Canada and he has a siren which is yet to be hooked up. He thinks it was probably an Army car. 4/ Darren and Owen Schnoor own the 2 Mini Sprint cars and are seen being interviewed by Pinky. Sorry, I didnt get any more details. 5/ The red Chevie Ute was judged to be the best car in the show and is here admired by Jim McNiven who shows how the judges go about judging the quality of the paint job. This car is owned by Shaun Humphrey and he won best paint job AND best engine bay in addition to Shannons Best car in the show. 6/ Les Dole is featured with his winning 1920 Indian Scout motorcycle. Les bike has the regn number 50R434 and is the same model as ridden by Bert Monroe (regn number 50R637) that he rode in the movie "The Worlds Fastest Indian". Les has owned the bike for 30 years. 7/ The 1967 Mini Marcos has a 1310cc Mk1 Cooper S engine of 100bhp and is owned by Steve Schmidt. It has an impressive racing history. In 1966 it was the only British car to finish the Le Mans 24 hour event, coming in 13th with a top speed of 140 Miles per hour! See more

12.01.2022 It was a great day at the Meeniyan Garlic Festival yesterday congratulations to all involved. The Leongatha Show and Shine Swap Meet and Market is another great event and it is also attended by enthusiast from many destinations it is on at the Leongatha Velodrome on March 4th, gates open at 6am for our Swap and Market Mates, Rotary will be doing breakfast and good well priced food all day so why not start with breakfast at the drome. our Show and Shine categories to be jud...ged this year are 28 including 10 categories for motorcycles, each category winner receives a quality gift and a nice trophy for the mantelpiece. It is a crisp well run day, Pinky will be down from NSW to announce the event. It is a good value for money day out .Market stalls are $20 second stall $10. Show and Shine exhibitors $10 with free quality showbag passengers $5, Public adults $5 and families $15 its a great day out so spread the word hoping to see you at the Gatha on March 4th See more

08.01.2022 March 4th is fast approaching and my team is ready for another big day we have a reputation for running a punctual well judged and well run event. Our event has 28 categories this includes 10 categories specifically for motorcycles. Each winner receives a gift and a trophy and a quality free show bag on arrival. Pinky will be back with his great music and interviews. Fortunately this year we will be honored by attendance of the Shannons Big Rig which is sure to please the gaming enthusiast . Our swap Meet mates combine with the craft market they all enjoy the leafy setting and its a very affordable day especially for families, hoping to see you at the Gatha on March 4th.
