23.01.2022 I began offering Yin yoga training because I felt teachers needed a better understanding of our individual anatomy and how that affects our ability to ‘do’ poses. I’d seen so many students come to classes, be adjusted by teachers, but unable to maintain the adjusted shape. They wouldn’t return to yoga because they thought they were too inflexible to 'do' the poses. Something was missing. With 10+ years of yoga teaching experience and 17+ years of yoga practice including 550 h...ours of Yin yoga study with Yin Yoga founder Paul Grilley, I look forward to sharing this Yin learning journey with you. ‘Leonie’s depth of knowledge on all things Yin is phenomenal. 16.01.2022 Hammock pose. Tight hamstrings or a tight lower back and you might initially might find this pose a little bit of a struggle. But there are ways to modify it: 1. Bend the opposite leg & put foot on the mat 2.Bring the opposite knee towards chest and support foot with a block... 3.Do a seated variation instead This pose places a slow tensional load on the myofascial chain of the superficial back line. Causing a temporary change in tissue length. But with regular practice, combined with a relaxing of the central nervous system via breath and mind, some of these changes may become more permanent.
