16.01.2022 Tax free government cash flow for employers with minimum payment of at least $20,000 Government will provide tax-free cash flow boosts of between minimum $20,000 and to maximum $100,000 to eligible businesses, delivered through credits in the activity statement system, when eligible businesses lodge their activity statements.... You must lodge your activity statement to receive the cash flow boost. Eligibility You will be eligible to receive the cash flow boost if you are a small or medium business entity, including not-for-profit organisations, sole traders, partnership, company or trust that: held an ABN on 12 March 2020 and continues to be active has an aggregated annual turnover under $50 million (generally based on prior year turnover) made eligible payments you are required to withhold from (even if the amount you need to withhold is zero). Eligible payments include: salary and wages director fees eligible retirement or termination payments compensation payments voluntary withholding from payments to contractors. In addition, you must also have either: derived business income in the 201819 income year and lodged your 2019 tax return on or before 12 March 2020 made GST taxable, GST-free or input-taxed sales in a previous tax period (since 1 July 2018) and lodged the relevant activity statement on or before 12 March 2020. Eligibility for additional cash flow boosts All eligible entities that received initial cash flow boosts may be entitled to additional cash flow boosts.

10.01.2022 Small Business COVID-19 Adaption Grant Program Round 2 opening 1 July 2020 he Queensland Government is extending the Small Business COVID-19 Adaption Grant Program. As part of Stage 2 of Queensland's Economic Recovery Strategy Unite and Recover for Queensland Jobs, up to $100 million is being made available to deliver a second round of grants, with half of this funding specifically earmarked for regional small businesses located outside of South East Queensland.... Round 2 will open on 1 July 2020.

10.01.2022 Additional financial assistance for the taxi and limousine industry The Queensland Government has announced a $23 million financial assistance package to further support the Queensland taxi and limousine industry through the economic impacts of COVID-19. Personalised transport patronage has dropped significantly since the outbreak of COVID-19. This financial assistance is intended to help the taxi and limousine industry meet ongoing operating costs and ensure services can co...ntinue to operate during and after the pandemic. This financial support includes one-off payments of: $3,500 per vehicle to taxi and limousine operators $1,000 per licence to taxi and limousine licence holders $1,000 per vehicle as an additional incentive payment for wheelchair accessible taxi operators $1,500 per vehicle to authorised booking entities for each affiliated taxi or limousine, capped at 1,000 vehicles, for entities that provide booking services predominantly for taxis and/or limousines. This latest funding follows the provision of various forms of relief to the personalised transport industry as part of a $54.5 million transport industry package announced on 25 April 2020. Applications to access this funding are expected to open in late July or early August. More information will be available soon.
