25.01.2022 What goes through my mind while I'm whipper snipping and mowing? Plenty, but I also have some great music blasting through my ear protection. This week Leo's artist of choice was "ween"! Some of their music is so far ahead/behind of it's time its not funny. 24.01.2022 Nothing better than a morning of pressure washing when it's stinking hot. Great results bringing this concrete and stamped concrete back to life. And was very therapeutic too

22.01.2022 If something is worth doing it's worth doing properly. This garden clean up and mulch was done in a manner to prevent more ongoing headaches for the customer. First step was to hand pull the weeds, then apply a good quality herbicide to the grass. After leaving it for 2 weeks for the herbicide to do its thing the next step was to apply a pre emergent to make sure nothing new sprouts. Finally a nice thick covering of mulch and this customer will have a garden that will continue to look great with minimal upkeep. And that's what we all want in a garden. As you can see in the 2nd last pic, weed matting is a waste of money.

22.01.2022 This time of year it's difficult to keep your grass green right? Wrong! Select the correct mix of fertilizer and the correct way of delivering it to the grass and you can get results. A liquid fertilizer high in iron is perfect for this time year. Applied monthly over the cold period and then changing to a slow release granular fertilizer when things warm up ensures a great looking lawn. To highlight the effects check out the pics of where I stopped applying the fertilizer at the customers boundary line.

19.01.2022 It's getting a bit chilly in the mornings and with the grass goes dormant. Which means loss of colour and slowed growth. However you can keep your lawn looking great by raising the mower blades and feeding it with a LIQUID fertilizer high in iron. For the next 3 weeks I'll be bringing a lawn back from the dead in the worst possible conditions. The lawn that has been hit by army worm, had no water and the soil has become hydrophobic. It's a big challenge in winter but not... impossible. And I'll be doing this all to the tunes of daft punk. 19.01.2022 First "haircut" at a client's new property. DR Homes Spring Mountain display home. A challenging block to mow because of some steep slopes and reasonably newly laid grass. Although this isn't the best time of the year to get a lawn looking great it is possible if you do the right things.

18.01.2022 Don't do meth people..... but if you do and you abandon your rental property, Leo will happily clean it up to look brand new again. #nobondforyou.

17.01.2022 On this job you're always learning. Today I learnt that if I leave the car in neutral with a fully loaded trailer the handbrake isn't enough. Didn't have time for any pics in the 30mt sprint to hop in the passenger side and shove it into park. Despite my marathon training it was pleasing to see the speed was still there when called upon. Highlight of the day was having a quick game with "Whitey" the staffy cross pup at one of my regular weekly mows.

15.01.2022 Received a call from a guy that was snowed under at work and wanted his lawns back to looking their best again. He also needed more natural light at the front of the house. I love jobs like this. Imagine the feeling the customer is going to have when after a hard day at work they arrive to the finished product. If you want that same feeling give me a yell.

14.01.2022 As I've mentioned before, I use my yard to figure out what herbicide/insecticide/fertilizer works best before I'll use it on a client's. My latest test was using a broad spectrum herbicide to deal with weeds in my couch lawn. This part of my lawn is not watered or fertilized so the grass is in average at best condition. One side was left alone and the other had " bow and arrow" applied. But you can't just spray this herbicide on, it needs to be applied with a surfactant to make it stick and also the droplet size must correct. I have this process nailed. The results- one side weed free and looking neat, the other side overrun with weeds, looking untidy and needing a mow. All of this achieved from 1 application.

13.01.2022 Lawns not your "thing"? I get that. Even if it looks like it's out of control, a couple of passes with my Hustler ride on and it's as good as new. 2 weekly, 3 weekly, monthly or once in a blue moon? I'll get your lawn looking good again. P.s if you have a dog you should know, we'll have a play when the jobs done.

06.01.2022 Before Xmas things were pretty crazy, but everyone got their property mowed and garden tidied up. We also had a massive property makeover to do. We did this during the extreme heat 2 weeks before Xmas. So our break between Xmas and New year was well deserved. Check out the before pics and after video. We are very proud of the result and the client was stoked. Reveal video in comments.

05.01.2022 2 visits in and this lawn and garden are getting used to a bit of tlc. After being forgotten for 6 months this yard is back in shape getting ready for the property to go on the market. Best of luck to the sellers.

05.01.2022 Sometimes the lawn just gets out of hand. Leo worked pretty hard to get this one cleared and back in shape. With a regular mow this backyard will be useable again.

03.01.2022 My lawn is like a patchwork quilt. One section was just watered, another had fertiliser applied, the last was scalped, top dressed and fertilized with a special fert. And you should see my backyard. One side is getting weed treatment and the other isn't. The up shot of this is I know what works, not because I read it on a brochure but through experience. If you want to impress your street, I'm your guy.

03.01.2022 Today I met Ori, he was very inquisitive and did a full safety check of the ride on before heading to his bed when things got noisy. Then I mowed and then when the job was done we played for a bit.

01.01.2022 Did you know Leo's lawn care also does gutter cleaning. Coming from a property that relied on rain water I understand the importance of clean gutters. Clogged gutters not only dirty the water going into the tanks but cause overflowing reducing the amount of water that gets into your tanks. Having leaf matter sitting in your gutter holds moisture and causes premature rusting and corrosion. So far from doing 9 gutter cleans I've rescued 1 frisbee, 7 tennis balls, 1 mode...l plane, 1 soccer ball. I've also removed 3 dead birds and 1 rats nest. Rates for a std 4 bedroom are $220 and winter is a perfect time for a clean before the summer storms. Pic is of all the dogs I patted today while doing a job. A record for sure.
