25.01.2022 Great Hightea today for our karate group at Hobart Tea Rooms. Celebrating many great things like birthdays, graduations (Seb and Olivia but Angela subbed in as Olivia was off sick) and all the other good milestones for the year and great company. So nice to have the tearooms to ourselves today. Thanks to all those who came. Thanks to Hobart tearooms for lovely food and prizes.

19.01.2022 Huge congratulations to all our students who graded today, you all did a great job. The Toshi Award for this grading went to Kevin Liu. Looking forward to seeing you all this Friday evening and Saturday to teach you all your new Kata, Kihon and techniques.

19.01.2022 On behalf of Soke and the Black Belts we would like to wish all our students and their families a Very Merry Christmas and a Safe Happy New year. We have our last class on Saturday the 19th of December and will have a short break returning on Saturday the 9th January for our first class for 2021 also know as our Christmas pudding class. Junior Red Dragons at 10am and then the normal class will follow at 11am.... 12.01.2022 Karate Classes update We are slowly trying to return to a new normal with our karate classes. Next Saturdays class we will still have the Jnr Red Dragons and the colour belts start together at 11am.... After that day NEW TRAINING TIMES are as follows: As from Saturday the 18th July our Junior Red Dragons class will start at the usual time at 10am to 10.45am The colour belt class will start at 11am to 12.30pm. From Friday the 17th July our Friday night colour belt class will start back at 6pm to 7pm. Normal class fees apply. This will be at the Polish Club Newtown. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

10.01.2022 Huge thankyou to Soke, Sensei Christine and her husband Andrew, Fabrice, Sensei Geoff, Allan, Hugo, Maya, Sempai Seb and myself for moving our karate mats this morning. World record of 40 minutes to load up, drive to Polish club and unload. Started at 9am and headed back to our cars at 9.40am all done. Great job.

04.01.2022 Xxxx. KARATE IS BACK xxxxx Plan B: Great news that after approximately 13 weeks we can finally get back to training.... Due to the Government rules regarding the school hall and also some school renovations at this stage we have had to find a temporary training venue. Thanks to Sebs dad we are able to rent the Polish Club in Newtown. Yay!!!!! We will combine both the Junior Red Dragons and the normal class in one till we return to the Dojo. So that means both classes in the hall for 11am start. Junior Red Dragons will train from 11am and bow out at 11.45am Colour belt class will start at 11am and bow out at 12.30pm. WHERE:. The Polish Club Newtown Road, Newtown. Entry via the doors on Newtown Road. Parking is available in some of the side streets surrounding the club. DATE: From this Saturday the 20th June until further notice. TIME:. 11am start till 12.30pm Both our Karate Club and the Polish Club will be following full Covid guidelines. We will be training whilst maintaining our 1.5 metre rule. We ask that where possible you drop of your child/children to us in the Polish Club and come back at the required time. This allows for the Government rule of only a certain number of people in the hall of 4 square metres per person to be adhered to, making a safe traning environment for all. They serve great coffee and cakes at Daci and Daci just opposite the Polish Club. We will also need a mobile contact number for each student/family upon signing in before class. 02.01.2022 Xxxxxx WE NEED YOUR HELP xxxxxx This Sunday 2nd August we need your help to move our karate mats. From our Dojo at Landsdowne Crescent Primary in West Hobart to our new Dojo till next year at the Polish Club Newtown.... Meet at 9am at Lansdowne Crescent Primary. Then to off load at the Polish Club. Just come along to help or if you have a clean trailer or ute bring that too, so that we can get this done very quickly. The more helpers the better. It shouldn't take long to do. Hope to see you Sunday at 9am.
