21.01.2022 Students in 1G turned back the clocks, rolled up their sleeves and got quite a workout learning how to make butter the ‘old-fashioned’ way. The fun, hands-on learning activity was part of the Past and Present unit in History.

14.01.2022 A calf in the classroom? Surely not! One of our wonderful families helped bring our Pre-Primary students' learning to life with a special visit from a baby farm animal. Couldn't think of a better way to learn about Living Things. A big thank you to April's parents for making today possible!

13.01.2022 Forget gold, coal or iron ore! These mini-miners are working hard to excavate something waaaay more precious... chocolate chips! An exciting introduction to the Talk 4 Reading Unit Text 'Metals' students used tools (toothpicks) to mine the ore (biscuit) for the metal (choc-chips). Year 6 Classroom Teacher, Leisa Clark, said some miners were exceptionally neat and tidy and worked meticulously to remove the precious metal, while others left behind a crumbly pile of waste rock!

09.01.2022 Check out these little cuties... Kindy Blue is learning all about what living creatures need to survive - food, water and shelter! They put their knowledge to good use and proved they could take care of two visiting guinea pigs - building them a shelter and picking food from the veggie patch!

08.01.2022 Congratulations to our Year Six students receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation at Christ the Living Vine Church this weekend. Mass will be held on Saturday, 29 August at 6pm or Sunday, 30 August at 10am. Students artwork and prayers are on display in the Church.

08.01.2022 Move over Noel Brunning... This is Lachlan Buswell reporting for LCPS News! Year 6 students have been experimenting with a new app called "Do Ink" to create interesting and engaging news reports about their chosen saints. Students had an opportunity to get creative with a green screen before dazzling the audience with their speaking and listening skills. ... Next term, the Year 6s will be producing classroom ‘news updates’ which will be a fun way to enhance their digital skills.

05.01.2022 Congratulations to our superstar sixes! Our boys and girls basketball teams made it through to the grand final at today’s Basketball WA South West Schools Slam Series. The boys were the big winners taking out their final 11-8, while the girls went down by one-point in an absolute nail biter! Well done to all! ... Both teams will represent LCPS at the 2020 Champions Cup in Perth later this year. Big thankyou to our amazing coaches Shevaun and Anthony Bertelli!

03.01.2022 Year 6 Transition week Friday was the final day for our Year 6 Transition week. Our students enjoyed a day at the Stirling Arts Centre creating artwork, solving clues to ‘Breakout’ and visiting the Bunbury Labyrinth. They finished their busy week with a disco with DJ Portolan providing the music for the night

03.01.2022 Year 6 Basketball Carnival Well done to our two fabulous basketball teams that went to Basketball WA Champion Schools Cup. Our boys team won 3 out of their 5 games and our girls won 4 out of 5. These fantastic students represented our school with pride, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and a winning attitude!

02.01.2022 Our fabulous Fives have been out and about at their Leadership retreat this week. They have enjoyed teambuilding and leadership activities, high ropes challenges and a disco on Thursday night! Thank you to the amazing teachers that made these days so special for our future leaders.

02.01.2022 We’re flying high! For the first time today, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags and the Australian National flag were raised at Leschenault Catholic Primary School. It is one of the many ways we acknowledge the traditional custodians of our land and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
