24.01.2022 checking in on a customers slabs for movement shifting. Tight straps, straight and drying nicely still a while to wait though.

24.01.2022 Wrapping up the job at Hale School- all slabs are now "strip stacked" and "end-sealed", ready for the curing process. The way they are stacked and strapped allows for the air to flow between slabs during the drying process. The strapping ensures that they stay straight and prevents warping. The Design and Technology students are going to have some wonderful native hardwoods to work with- emphasis on the "hard"- it was some of the most dense and unyielding timber I've come across!

22.01.2022 My wife makes these

20.01.2022 At least they haven't copied my 2-Stroke cologne

18.01.2022 Slab happy customer

17.01.2022 What a terrific view. Not a extremely high job but certainly picturesque.

16.01.2022 Another slab happy customer! This one is going to convert a winter fire pit into a summer table.

15.01.2022 Lumberjacks were singing this well before Jay-Z

15.01.2022 A nice little project from a customer with one of his slabs. Just got the photo a few days ago. He thinks in a week or two it will be finished and he will show me some more pics.

13.01.2022 Roll camera! Out at a friend's property today getting some video footage of the slabbing process. It'll all be coming onto this page soon!

07.01.2022 I was kept very busy over the school holidays with one of my biggest jobs to date! Hale School contracted me to slab up a number of Tuart, Salmon Gum and Wandoo, which had been taken down some months earlier. Since they had been felled a while ago, it meant that the timber had begun to dry, making it a slow and very dusty process. All the slabs have now been stored for future use by their woodwork students- lucky boys!

06.01.2022 Literally on the verge cutting pine from the waterhall estate which was earmarked for the tip. Guys dropped them at my house and now they are getting chopped up and sold as whole slabbed logs hopefully to local homes.

06.01.2022 I'm not over compensating for anything I swear! I do wonder how I manage this chainsaw sometimes. This bar is mostly used for milling and is 94 inches (2.36m) long and makes the chainsaw approx 18kgs fully loaded.

03.01.2022 I was privileged recently to work at my local primary school and assist in the re-purposing of one of their iconic trees. "Oakie" had unfortunately passed away and needed to removed. I was brought in to mill "Oakie" into slabs, which are now being stored so they can cure and dry. Down the track, these slabs will then be used to create an artistic entryway to the school- what a wonderful idea! Thanks for having me Guildford Primary School Parents & Citizens

03.01.2022 Finally finished all these slabs jeepuz my back is sore hard work. Looking to move these all on to someone to store for their own use about 34 slabs at about 2-3 inches green sawn. Can deliver give me a buzz if your interested.

03.01.2022 Sunday morning job- made myself a desk top. I've been kicked off the kitchen table so thought I would knock something together, just to tide me over til we move and I have a workshop to make a custom piece from one of my slabs. It's not finished yet, but it'll be a side project for the next few days!

02.01.2022 Trimming up a big gum in Guildford today, a photo op presented itself. This is the least goofy of the shots taken, if you can believe it! If you have a tree needing a tidy up, give me a buzz!

01.01.2022 TIMBERRRRRRRRR!!! Precision felling of a 70 foot (21m) Cyprus tree between 2 other existing trees. This has opened up the view to the escarpment for the house behind and greatly increased the efficiency of the solar panels for the house in front.
