24.01.2022 Have you seen or used the new path that continues from the Russell St Bridge up to the Recreation Reserve ? We received quite a bit of feedback relating to this in our recent survey and passed it on to Council. We are happy to say Council thought it was important for our community too. Thank you Golden Plains Shire

24.01.2022 Lighting project update.... On Tuesday 2nd February an arborist will be in attendance at Lethbridge Recreation Reserve. The arborist will be pruning some trees that inhibit the installation of one of the lighting towers. Whilst in attendance they will also remove some trees that have been identified as unsafe by council.... The Lethbridge Recreation Reserves Committee of Management has asked the shire to take the mulch from these trees to the lake area, where it will be used in an upcoming beautification project. The timber from these trees (even though it may be green) will be collected and later used in a fundraising raffle. Funds from this will be used in a number of projects going forward at both the Lake and Recreation Reserve. The LRRCoM asks the community to keep a safe distance whilst this work takes place and asks the wood is left so the committee can use this to raise much needed funds.

10.01.2022 You may have noticed some work being performed on Oval 1 at the Recreation Reserve. This week marked the start of the oval illumination project which will install four lighting towers and provide 50 lux lighting. We understand the community's interest in this project but ask during this period to keep a safe distance from the construction site at all times. ... Cricket activities and Family Day Care will continue to function as normal during the construction period whilst participants follow directions from the council and it's contractors. Works are expected to be completed April 2021.

03.01.2022 Over the weekend a lone trail bike rider took themselves on a tour of Lethbridge. The tour covered both Ovals at the recreation Reserve and the new paths installed along the creek and the lake area. Thankfully only minor damage was caused however the Committee of Management is mindful how dangerous this could have been and what destruction could have been caused. Please, do not ride trail bikes on the ovals and paths.
