20.01.2022 Trachelospermum 'Jasmine' The latest batch of Star Jasmine $7ea Star jasmine is an evergreen climber/ground cover with rich deep green foliage. Flowering from summer through to autumn, producing masses of pure white star shaped fragrant flowers. For best results grow in a well-drained soil from full sun to partial shade where they will become drought tolerant once established. Trachelospermum can be used in a variety of ways such as climbers, groundcover, spreading bushes and... indoor plants. If growing indoors, use a loam-based potting media and position in full light but not direct sun. Climbers will need support provided, and should be pruned to keep their appearance neat and tidy. These versatile plants are very effective when used to cover fences and pergolas or to clamber up tree trunks. They are also useful for softening the appearance of walls, sheds and fences. As a groundcover they can reach a height of around 40cm and spread or climb up to 6mts. See more

17.01.2022 Eucalyptus gunnii Divaricata, Cider/Meina Gum, Cut Foliage, large patio pots hedging or specimen tree. All plants are in 140mm pots and are priced at $7.00each. Eucalyptus Gunnii is a fast growing tree up to 15m high and 6m wide with a growth rate of up to 1.5-2 m per year. Gunnii can be pruned and maintained as a shrub, hedge or grown in a large patio pot. The juvenile foliage is rounded and blue in colour, as it matures the leaves become elongated. Excellent cut foliage for floral arrangements. Producing white flowers through summer. A native to Tasmania Gunnii prefers a light to heavy well-drained soil in an open sunny position, frost resistant but drought tender.

06.01.2022 Eucalyptus Corymbia ficifolia Red Flowering Gum Corymbia ficifolia is well known for producing spectacular flower shows throughout the year. They can range in height from a 2 metre shrub up to a 15 metre tree. The large clusters of showy flowers will attract small and large nectar loving wildlife to your garden. Grown from seed they can come in a range of colours usually red or pink through to orange, cream and white. Drought hardy once established plant out in a well drained sunny position. Great uses include feature/street trees, shade trees, cut foliage/flowers, screening and windbreak trees. In 140mm pots at $7.00ea

05.01.2022 Banksia Integrifolia - Coastal Banksia Native to the east coast, tolerant of frost drought and salt spray. Large nectar rich yellow flowers though autumn and winter attracting birds bees and butterflies. Growing to around 5-10mts. Great specimen, screening or street tree. $7ea.

04.01.2022 Grevillea Loopy Lou $7.00each. A compact, fast growing shrub to around 1m with a 1.5m spread producing large flowers in shades of red, yellow and pink. Loopy Lou will establish quickly and is ideal for rockeries and erosion control on embankments. Preferring full sun, but will tolerate light shade as well as slight frost and humidity. With attractive foliage and flowers that appear throughout year this is a great addition any garden. Grevilleas make a great attractant for native birds and wildlife with some feeding on the nectar whilst others feed on the insects. Use a native / low phosphate fertiliser in Spring and late summer, mulch and water in well.

Red robin is a very hardy fast growing shrub with smaller foliage compared to its cousins making it ideal for tight formal hedges. Brilliant flushes of new red growth are set off against the dark green mature foliage, producing small clusters of white flowers from mid spring to summer. Frost tolerant once established and growing well in full sun to partial shade. Spacing from 60cm to form a dense formal hedge out to 1.2mt. Red Robin will grow to around 1.5 - 3mts in height and 1.5mts in width.

Also know as ‘Sweet Viburnum’ it is a fast growing evergreen large shrub / small tree producing fragrant flowers from spring through to early summer followed by small red berries. Viburnum ‘Odoratissimum’ is an excellent hedging plant forming large dense screens or hedging and growing to around 4-5 metres in height and 2 metres in width. Growing well in full sun through to partial shade, prune to shape for a formal look. Spacing out at 75cm -1meter mulch and water in well, use a general purpose slow release fertiliser, drought tolerant once established.
