23.01.2022 The death of a loved one is an extremely traumatic experience and unfortunately each and every one of us has to go through this terrible time sometime in life. The paragrapph below gives some timely advice when someone you know has had this great loss. How to support a grieving person. The best way to support a grieving person is to be there. Lots of people are so worried about upsetting a person who’s grieving that they don’t do anything at all, but then that person feels abandoned. And after a bereavement you’re particularly sensitive to feeling abandoned everything feels like an echo of that. So if you’re on the other side of the fence and have a friend who’s grieving, dive in and do what you can. It doesn’t matter if you arrive and cut the grass. Just show up. show up.
18.01.2022 Suicide is something that is not talked about and yet there aare those who are in so much pain that they cannot bear to live. Just recently a young girl of fifteen years took her own life because of the cyber bullying that she had received. We must talk about the loved one of which has left us and not bottle up our grief. So I believe this video is so appropriate and I hope that my readers can gain help for viewing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HaBoN-lpHU

17.01.2022 I found this talk by Susan David who is a psychologist to be quite interesting. She has given some views about our emotions influening our lives. She says that "We own our emotions, they don't own us". Hope you enjoy watching. https://www.ted.com//heather_lanier_good_and_bad_are_incom https://www.ted.com//susan_david_the_gift_and_power_of_emo?

12.01.2022 I have been a pet lover all my life and a great many people are pet owners in Australia. They become our friends and they don't argue (or at least we think they don't) the love you even when you go cranky on them and if they do get a bit upset they quickly forget and go on as if nothing has happened. I think that the video I have for you all this week is a really interesting one. It speaks about the effect a pet, whatever it is, has a very beneficial effect on us. When we are sad we can talk to him or her and they just sit and listen and don't criticise or judge. So enjoy watching the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-t4m6mo0bMY

04.01.2022 Every New Year we are reminded to make resolutions. However if you make a new resolution or a number of resolutions don't make them so difficult that you cannot possibly follow through. Think carefully and if you just try to change a little bit then you will be successful. Small changes are much better than great intentions that are too hard to work at.
02.01.2022 When you feel stressed try a a deep muscle exercise. Don't expect it to immediately work for you as sometimes it takes a bit or practice. But if you don't start how will you practice? 01.01.2022 You may be hurtling down life's highway minding your own business and then an unwanted and unexpected crash happens. It might not be an actual crash in your car but will be a crash nevertheless. So the crash could be an emotional crash or a physical crash of some kind that leaves you unable to function as you normally would. A crash brings with it embarrassment, scarring and loneliness but remember broken pieces can be put together again. You can achieve things that you thought not possible. The most important thing that you have to remember is that you did survive the crash. If you need help it is also at hand.
