A beautiful client made a statement that is so very true - a war without the bombs! Selfish I am not, happy to always assist my clients 24/7, have never minded being disturbed on weekends, night time, on holidays or any time. This week I have worked tirelessly but only with cancellations, refunds, credits etc. It is hea...rt breaking. 47 years in the travel industry, 38 years of owning Lets Travel. 12.01.2022 Not that Aussies can travel to Hawaii but this is not good for the economy in Hawaii. Bad news for all Hawaii travellers Governor Ige decided, Hawaii is not reopening in August. The plan was to reopen Hawaii in August. The state will delay the planned August 1st reopening by at least one month, until September first. The Mayors of the islands had requested the delay and Governor Ige gave in.

09.01.2022 This awful year is ending on a worse note than ever with the passing of long time friend and ex travel consultant of Lets Travel, Margaret Fletcher. Margie worked for Lets Travel/IOOF Travel at the Hamilton agency in the early 1990s and looked after so many of our still existing clients. She was always smiling and we had so much fun at work during those years. Prior to my contracting to Helloworld Travel Eatons Hill, previously known as Harvey World Albany Creek, I was contracting to Harvey World Cleveland which was Margaret‘s own family business. She was one of the most dedicated and longest serving travel consultants in the travel industry. Margaret was very much loved and will be missed by all. RIP my friend.

Travel Agents are having to rework every itinerary and find the smartest financial and safest option for their clients. Sometimes this is a full refund. Sometimes there are strict cancellation fees that no amount of negotiating will get around. Often there are credits for future travel. This is out of the travel agents hands.
