23.01.2022 Pets play a huge role in our lives and are a much loved part of our families, so much so that many couples just wouldn’t feel that their wedding day was complete without their beloved fur babies in attendance! So I couldn’t resist these cute shots by Sarah Matler Photography of some of our couples with their besties!

23.01.2022 2020 has been such a challenging year for us all, so it's really wonderful to be able to celebrate happy, positive occasions once more! Sarah Matler Photography and I really enjoyed sharing in Deb & Nic's relaxed, intimate wedding recently. The couple were wed on the beach foreshore with their nearest and dearest present, and "cheered" along by a flock of cheeky cockatoos!! Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs B - we wish you a lifetime of happiness togther xxxx

17.01.2022 There's nothing like a beautiful, intimate wedding to uplift you during this time of uncertainty! It was such a pleasure for Sarah Matler Photography and I to take part in Amanda & Andrew's "micro wedding" recently at the ever beautiful Fitzroy Gardens! Having their immediate families present made the day even more meaningful, especially as we are now in lockdown 2.0! 17.01.2022 Sarah Matler Photography and I so loved returning to the stunning Acre of Roses for the marriage of Sarah & Jared! Managing to only just squeeze in their intimate wedding before major restrictions took place, their day was filled with an abundance of love, joy, warmth and optimism. With the world around us turning upside down, there was a beautiful sense of peace and calm as Sarah and Jared exchanged their vows to the sound of bird song and the glorious scent of roses. Even amidst all of the uncertainty it was the perfect way to begin their married life!! 16.01.2022 Most couples wouldn’t even consider getting married on the beach in the middle of a Melbourne winter but Mother Nature truly smiled on Mary and Darren and delivered a mild and sunny July day just perfect for a sea side wedding! The couple were wed inside a colourful beach box with their guests outside on the sand to comply with social distancing requirements, their ceremony was sweet and simple - the vibe of the day happy & relaxed and all beautifully captured by Sarah Matler Photography. 13.01.2022 Rhianne & Daniel's vision for their wedding was to be married in secret with only their two gorgeous little ones present! This delightful couple eloped at stunning Farm Vigano with Sarah Matler Photography and the venue's lovely & amazingly helpful manager Suzie as witnesses in the picturesque orchard, followed by a fun filled family photoshoot and picnic lunch within the grounds. Although Ryan & Mon could only have two witnesses at their wedding due to the reintroduction stage 3 restrictions, their families and friends all watched their ceremony live via zoom with champagne in hand and cheese platters at the ready! Owners Sandy and Rob do their utmost to ensure that each couple’s elopement is the most romantic, beautiful and joyous occasion ever!!! From providing luxurious accommodation, gorgeous grounds, fabulous photos opportunities to organising a private chef for that perfect post wedding dinner. They even acted as official witnesses to Maddison & Declan’s personal, heart-warming wedding ceremony. And wow those incredible photos taken at the venue and nearby by Sarah Matler Photography ..

From when I first came across 'Let's Elope Melbourne' and meeting you both for the first time we felt very happy and comfortable that you were both on the same page as us about how we would like our wedding day to be. We really appreciate the time and effort Amanda that you put into organising all the paperwork and having the ceremony run smoothly and everything was perfectly how we wanted it to be. And Sarah the photos are amazing! We really enjoyed the time on the day taking photos it was fun, stress free and again everything that we wanted. 08.01.2022 Darren and I want to thank you both so much for your huge part in making our day so wonderful. It was just so perfect. The intimacy of having five of us at the ceremony made it so special. Amanda, I blame you for making me cry! The way you delivered the ceremony, with such passion and emotion just set me off! To me, it didn’t seem you like do this every day and it’s just another piece of paper to read. It was really beautiful, thank you! I guess saying my words to the m...ost wonderful human in the world, who I am so in love with, may have also contributed to my tears! Sarah, Darren kept saying afterwards how delightful you were. So calm and easy to be with (unlike most photographers i guess!!). You are so lovely (you both are actually). Amanda, thanks for recommending the Langham for our special day. They really did go all out to make it feel like the wonderful occasion it was. I can’t wait to use our anniversaries as an excuse to go back there every year!! I am so happy we chose to elope in Melbourne, at the Langham and with you both running the show! It was the best decision and I just loved that just the five of us were there. 08.01.2022 It's always a privilege for Sarah Matler Photography and I to be take part in a couple's wedding day, but there is something extra special about sharing in an intimate elopement that we just love! The gorgeous Paula & Darren were secretly wed on Christmas Eve at the beautiful Langham Hotel with just ourselves and one other witness present. After a touching and warm ceremony the newlyweds enjoyed a fun photoshoot within some of Melbourne's most famous lane ways and then flew home on Christmas day to share their happy news with their loved ones. Paula & Darren, it was such a pleasure to assist you with your elopement - we wish you a lifetime of happiness together xxxx

06.01.2022 These gorgeous photos of newlyweds Olivia & Ben just go to show that, despite all the challenges we are currently facing, there is still a lot of beauty in the world! Olivia & Ben just managed to sneak in their Melbourne elopement one day before the ban on weddings came into effect. Although the weather turned on Arctic conditions, the rain mostly held off for their ceremony and photo shoot - mother nature even managed to turn on a rainbow just after they were declared husband and wife! Oh and no rules were broken on the day, with the couple slipping their face masks on between shots (skillfully captured by Sarah Matler Photography)!! Olivia & Ben, may the love and good humour of your wedding day be ever close in your hearts xxxx

03.01.2022 Lovely Nadia & Adam had planned to marry with a hand full of their family & closest friends present, but not even that was possible as Victoria went into Stage 3 lock down restrictions only days before they were due to wed. With numbers limited to just 5 people Nadia & Adam proved that love wins through and went ahead with their wedding with only myself and their mothers in attendance. We had to be creative with the photography, as the restrictions meant that a photographer... couldn’t be present at their ceremony, so Sarah Matler Photography and I were a ‘tag team’ with Sarah taking some pre wedding shots before I arrived and then waiting in a separate room until I had finished the ceremony and left the area. With all that aside, Nadia & Adam had a beautiful ceremony filled with love and joy coupled with a gorgeous photo shoot, and most importantly, they had married the love of their lives!! Chelsea & Nicole's wedding was so full of love, joy and the occasional happy tear - it was an incredibly heart warming moment to be a part of! These precious moments between newlyweds Shahnee & Kiwa remind us that love & human connection are the most powerful things in life. Although Sarah and I miss being a part of these wonderful occasions right now, we will be here to celebrate and capture the love and joy when this challenging time has become but a memory!

And we couldn’t think of a better way kick off the new season than with Julia & Nick’s gorgeous wedding at stunning Mont Du Soleil. Situated in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, this beautiful French & Italian inspired property provided the perfect backdrop for their romantic, intimate wedding and photoshoot. And mother nature smiled on us as well, turning on a perfect, calm and mild late spring afternoon what a truly wonderful way for Julia & Nick to begin their married life together.
