20.01.2022 Hi everyone, a few people have been asking how was the Cairns trip so I thought I would give you all an update and a couple of pics as well . The trip got of to a delayed start due to Paige having a very large seizure late on the Sunday which resulted in another trip to hospital by ambulance and an overnight admission with some testing etc she was released on the Monday afternoon (just in time to get to the airport) BUT with the proviso she didnt fly for a couple of days ...(damn ) a couple of rest and recovery days later and with the all clear from the doctors we flew up to Cairns on the Wednesday morning . The humidity when we arrived was like a huge slap in the face it was so intense as there was a lot of rain in the region due to a tropical cyclone forming out at sea, this really drained Paige (and also myself and Rob too), so we spent the first couple of days acclimatising to the humidity and hanging out with Paiges pop, doing some things for him around his house etc etc. As some of you may know Paige is a keen photographer and this year I have challenged her to try her best to teach me some of her skills (what they say about old dogs and new tricks appears to be pretty true ). In the days following we took some drives around the region for some photo ops, checking out some waterfalls, lakes, rivers and beaches as well as visiting Port Douglas, we also caught up with a few family friends that we have from our time living in Cairns, including a very special young lady who will be turning 100 years old in October this year as always with holidays time goes way too fast and we returned home again on Monday night. It was really nice for Paige to briefly get away from the house and the never ending hospital appointments and have a little break. With the corona virus uncertainty and current travel restrictions the trip to the UK will more than likely have to be pushed to a bit later in the year rather than in the June/July we were originally hoping for but for now travel within Australia will have to suffice, health and safety over everything else. I hope you enjoy these pics all taken by me on my iPhone my other ones on the real camera are nowhere near up to Paiges standards ha ha. See more

08.01.2022 Hi everyone, I have been getting a few messages so I just thought I would give you an update on Paige. In my last post at the beginning of May I mentioned that previous Chemo treatments were not working sufficiently and we were moving to the third line treatment of Avastin and Loumastin chemotherapy. This treatment commenced and Paige seemed to be tolerating it all very well. On the 28th May Paige had another seizure but was released same day from hospital with no further... obvious defects. Over the following week Paige started to become a bit more unsteady on her feet and on the right side of her body and had difficulty using her right arm and hand again despite her ongoing physio and occupational therapy and her speech became more difficult as well. We ended up being admitted back in hospital at ONJ on 4th June with Paiges function still worsening in hospital despite trying several different treatments to counteract this. Her MRI confirmed the news we suspected but didnt want to hear, her tumours have grown significantly and there is another new tumour on the left side which is what is causing her right sided paralysis. The last line of treatment did not work and the doctors informed us that there is now no other option left for Paige and she has now entered into the end of life stage. We brought her back home last Thursday from hospital to have palliative care in the home with her family around her. We as a family feel very ripped off for Paige, she was meant to have more time, she was meant to travel to her dream destinations, covid was not supposed to happen to make her be stuck in the house isolating when she was still well enough to travel, shes supposed to be excited and packing her suitcase this month. Life is so unfair, cancer really sucks. Please keep her in your thoughts (and prayers if you are religious)

06.01.2022 Yay!! Link Coming soon..........

06.01.2022 Hi everyone, as May is brain tumour awareness month I thought I would give you all an update on whats happening with Paige and her ongoing battle with her particular type of brain tumour - Glioblastoma multiforme Stage IV. On return from our holiday to Cairns in March. Paige had her MRI which unfortunately showed that the chemotherapy treatment she was on was not working as well as we would like and her tumour had grown approximately 20mm between January to March. The doc...tors then made the decision to change recipes to another chemotherapy drug in the hope this would stall any further growth. Paige tolerated this new chemo well and we held hopes this was doing the trick with the plan to do two rounds 6 weeks apart and another MRI after 3 months. Last Sunday night (4 weeks after round 1) Paige had three huge seizures in a row at home, and had another two big seizures in hospital. She was admitted to ONJ and the MRI on Tuesday showed that the new chemo unfortunately is also not working, the original tumour has further increased in size, there are now two new small tumours in the right side of brain and now also a brand new tumour in the left side of her brain. This is what is causing her severe seizures as there is a disconnect between the two sides of the brain. As a result of this Paige is beginning to show some small deficits, the main ones being having some word finding difficulties on occasion when shes trying to tell you something and some trouble writing with a pen. But in true Paige style she keeps on smiling through it all. The plan going forward now is to get these seizures under control firstly, they are currently trying a couple of different types of Epilepsy medications to get these stable and she is making improvements every day. The Oncologists have applied for (and shes been approved) for a treatment called Avastin that works by starving the tumours of blood supply and is having some good results on GBM patients so we keep our fingers crossed it will work a bit better for her. Due to Coronavirus restrictions shes only allowed 1 visitor once per day for 2 hours maximum at set times, so we are all finding that really difficult, as only I am allowed to go in to see her each day but hopefully she will be stable enough to come home in the next few days. Please keep her in your thoughts, if you have messaged her recently and she hasnt replied, please be patient, at the moment she gets tired and drained very quickly. Ill do my best to give you regular updates on how shes doing . (Deb - Paiges Mum)

04.01.2022 15 mins to go and Auction is all over! :) Get your last bids in so you are not disappointed! Time in Melbourne is 7:45pm on the world clock lol :)

03.01.2022 An update from Paiges mum Deb

02.01.2022 Hello everyone, firstly a heartfelt thank you to everybody who left us beautiful messages regarding Paige, although I havent replied individually I have read every single one and taken great comfort in the knowledge that our gorgeous daughter touched so many peoples lives in lots of different ways. I also have had quite a few lovely people messaging asking what they can do for us or if there is something they can donate too on Paiges behalf. If this is something you would... like to do we have researched quite a few places and have set up a memorial page with Cure Brain Cancer Australia as they focus primarily on brain cancer research which is so severely underfunded its ridiculous. Alternatively we also advocate Carries Beanies for Brain Cancer, which also focus on research plus you get a bonus beanie to keep your head warm (these go on sale tomorrow 14th July). (Go to the website to order) The link to Paiges tribute page for Cure Brain Cancer is below. So if you feel youd like to do something there are some options. We will be donating some of the money raised for Paiges UK trip she never got to take to this organization plus a couple of other charities that Paige was involved with, these details will come at later date. http://www.curebraincancer.org.au//paige-rowe-letsfindacure

02.01.2022 A huge THANK YOU to everyone involved! I know how much this means to Paige and the family and they cant thank you enough <3 Much love sent from all of us here at Team Paige" as well. We so couldnt have done this without you all xx <3

02.01.2022 Hi everyone, just wanted to touch base and give a quick update on how Paige is going with her health and also what shes been up too lately for those who are interested. Health wise Paige is in a pretty good place at the moment. She has completed 3 rounds of chemotherapy treatment so far and is tolerating it reasonably well despite some issues with fluctuating temperatures etc, she had her latest one last Tuesday and has been feeling quite ordinary but today is starting to... come out the other side She has a MRI booked in this month and then again in May, if the tumour is reasonably stable in between, the doctors will give her the go ahead to travel to the UK, so keep her in your prayers and your fingers crossed at this stage, all going well, hoping to be able to go in June Other than attending a multitude of hospital appointments Paige has been trying to get out and do a few things in her good week with her friends in between her chemo doses with her highlight being well enough (and strong enough) to play a game of cricket with her Holy Trinity team, who were very gracious letting her have some rest time (5 overs on/5 overs off) and she even managed to bowl one over which she was rapt with. It may of knocked her out for 2 days afterwards but it was worth every moment it was great to see her out there again. Next week we are looking forward to visiting Cairns to spend the week with Paiges pop and for some rest and relaxation before the next chemo round. And heres some recent pics

01.01.2022 Wow! This is absolutely amazing! The bids and donations we have had in the past hour and half have blown us away. Cant thank you all enough for being part of our fundraiser and doing it for Paige. If yo missed the link, here it is! https://airauctioneer.com/paiges-auction-bucket-list-dreams Much love xx

01.01.2022 Our family are helping raise money for brain cancer research by participating in Connors Run. Obviously due to Covid this cannot be run as usual but this year theyre encouraging people to still sign up and do their own pledges. For example Rob & I have pledged to walk a minimum of 10klm per week for the month of September. We have created a team page called Paiges Pirates and would like to invite you to join in with us if your interested we will do our walks wearing out Connors Run T-shirts and at the end of September we plan to try organise a group final walk (pending easing of restrictions) or a zoom party or something to celebrate our success. The link to our team is below, I hope you can join and help raise money for Brain Cancer research in Paiges memory. http://www.connorsrun.com/my-fundrais/17578/paiges-pirates-
