22.01.2022 Is it bad to 'crack' my own back? Is this you?! I know who you are Look I get it, as Chiropractors most of us are recovered 'crack' addicts too. BUT we now know better.... The thing is, there is a reason a Chiropractic degree is 5 years long... it takes an expert to know which joint is stuck and needs movement and realignment. When you 'crack' your own spine or neck, generally you are just moving joints that are already moving well. Those joints become lax and the joints that are STUCK or misaligned become MORE problematic. I am sure you have felt this too. When you consistently crack your own spine or neck you will feel the need to do it more and more frequently. Am I right? Yep thought so Hands up if you are a recovering 'crack' addict! See more
22.01.2022 Did you know that what you wear on your feet can impact your movement and pain levels? I know you're thinking "I'm not wearing 6-inch heels Cayle" but this can even apply to the trainers you are wearing to the gym - its crazy! If you are feeling fairly consistent aches, discomfort or pain in areas such as:... - Lower back - Hips - Knees - Ankles This could be coming from your shoes. Unfortunately not all shoes are created equally; they can often be too flat, not giving the foot adequate support or they can have heavy soles that subtly raise your heels and tilt your pelvis too far forward - which puts added pressure on the hips and knees. Something as easy as switching out your gym shoes can save you $$ in practitioner treatments. There are so many reasons why you might currently be in PAIN, and part of my job is to try piece together that puzzle and to alter that build up again. Once that pain has gone or reduced its then usually a period of peaks and troughs through the rehabilitation plan, good days and bad days. ... 05.01.2022 Did you know it's likely you're not breathing correctly? Take a look down... When you breathe in and out - is your CHEST moving or your STOMACH, BACK and SIDES?... If it's your CHEST you're not breathing as well as you can - crazy right?! Try to take a few moments each day to look down and focus on the breath...you want to be taking deep breathes right into the stomach, back and sides. When you do this you are likely to feel much calmer, less anxious, less stressed and bonus points: the micro-movements from full breathing help with maintaining your lower back health! 03.01.2022 Fancy swimming under a waterfall this weekend? Why not head to Minnehaha Falls in the Blue Mountains...it's a cruisey drive from the Northern Beaches for a night away. Getting to Minnehaha Falls involves a 1km walk of medium difficulty. The tracks starts just off Minni Ha Ha Road, slightly north of Katoomba. ... Along the way, you'll see incredible views of nearby ravines and hanging swamps, as well as several smaller pools that are also awesome swimming sites. But keep your eye on the prize, because the end of the bush walk leads to one of Sydney's best swimming holes, set at the base of the falls. For adventurous types, there's a cliff platform to jump off or to sunbathe on, if you're not so keen on heights. Now, get outside and have some fun! See more

01.01.2022 Many people people believe that seeing a chiropractor involves me cracking your bones and heavy adjustments. This could not be further from the truth when you visit me...here is what you can expect: We begin with a conversation about how your body is feeling, any pain, hotspots, discomfort or restricted movement.... I will take you through some assessments to see how your body is performing with certain movement patterns. I will tell you the treatment plan that we will be doing that session. The treatment may include some Chiropractic Adjustment, Network Spinal Analysis, Activator Method, Soft Tissue Therapy and Trigger Point Therapy or Torque Release Technique.
