25.01.2022 Today our club said farewell to a Legend of our club. Ryan Sticko Stichter #47 Sticko played 46 games for the Club.... He scored 430 runs @ an average 9.56 Highest score 60. He took 13 wickets at an average of 13.85 best bowling was 4/11. He took a total of 11 catches 8 of which were as keeper ...which We will always Remember him doing in those pink keeping pads ... As proud as we are about these numbers...it was off the field where he was one of great club men. Always positive and supportive of his fellow clubmen. A strong supporter of joining our team mates after the game at our sponsor to reflect on our game......sometimes longer than others. A genuinely great bloke and so much so we will be naming a perpetual trophy after him at our club. He was a gentleman, wonderful family man and an all round legend of a bloke! Our club is sending our love and support to his family and close friends on this very tough day. He will be missed
25.01.2022 Congratulations to the Leura side today who secured the minor premiership vs traditional rivals Hazelbrook Cricket Club . Hazelbrook batted first and scored 5/137 off 40 overs on a slow Gloria Park field with the added Bayou in one section of the outfield. A great 75 not out from cattle dogs skipper John Ford was the best effort from Hazo, and a 4/21 from the Morphinator (shouldve been 5 hey ?!). Leura securing the win with 2/139 off 20.4 overs. The cucumber 91 not out with 5 fours and 8 sixes the stand out with the bat. 3 points Tommy T, 2 Morph, 1 Tommy Farnell. TFC for Tommy for keeping with oven mits on ! Specia mention for both teams wearing black arm bands for Andre Curry. So so missed by all Cuz. GF begins next week on Saturday with a best of 3 finals series vs Hazo. Go the butchers!

08.01.2022 This week the LCC butchers had a bye. That’s not to say we weren’t busy. As you may know , we were stunned to lose one of our favourites, Ryan Stichter Sticko #47 recently. Many of the club members vowed to help Michelle and the kids complete some work on Stickos house . This weeks bye enabled some work to happen. But none of it would have been possible without long time sponsors Katoomba Mitre 10 and John Bromhead. To paraphrase (for the first and only time!!) from our Whats...App group... ‘Shoutout to Tom Tziavaras Keegan Foote, Matthew Chinn and Clint Egan. Bloody Blue the legend gave us 4 days there and kept it going during the week. Hinges (Brendan Hogan ‘S new nickname) dug some holes and learnt to mix concrete, absolutely loved it! And last but not least, Chris Cox , he rocked and I gave him the hardest and most fiddly job, he took it in his stride and smashed it! He was there till 5pm yesterday! Needed the right man for that job! The butcher love was real, and Michelle and the kids were so grateful for all the work. Made me proud to be a butcher this weekend! ’ (John Bromhead). Teammates Corey Wilson and Zeke Harris did a bit there too. Very well loved and respected member of the teams he played in. Zeke A. Harris Corey Wilson . Proud to be a butcher. #47 See more
