The scheme allows parents to claim a rebate of up to $1,000 per child every two years for dental care, which the Government moved to reduce to $700 per child. ... But it faced fierce criticism from dentists groups and the Opposition had moved to block the cut in the Senate.

14.01.2022 Legislation to close the CDBS has reached Parliament with a vote expected in the Lower House next week. If it passes both Houses, you will have until 31 December 2016 to complete treatments using the Child Dental Benefit Scheme. So its time to get busy - pick up the phone, book an appointment and make sure that every single eligible patient is booked in and treated ahead of the deadline. The ADA remains firmly critical of the Governments decision to close the CDBS and is opposed to its replacement by the Child and Adult Public Dental Scheme which will place too great a burden on the public healthcare system.

12.01.2022 Three cheers for Leura Dental who are in their second year of volunteering and held a Dental Rescue Day on Tuesday, 24th October. They offered 21 appointments t...o patients from a local Womens Refuge and a Mens Residential Rehabilitation program with all patients feeling very thankful for the treatment received on the day. A big thank you to Dr Rik Sandstrom and the team at Leura Dental, Dr Gabrielle Cusack, Dr Iman Mirhosseini, Gavin Cusack, Bethany Donnelly-Single, Marita Watson, and Natalie Galton. Your kindness goes a long way and we are grateful for your continued support of the Dental Rescue Day program.

10.01.2022 We had our Dental Rescue day on Tuesday the 24.10.17. Thanks to the National dental foundation for helping set it all up and to all our wonderful staff here that volunteered their time to help some people in need of dental treatment. All the men from the 180TC center where very happy and so thankful for the service provided to them. Well done to all involved.
