17.01.2022 #Leuze_Insights IGSU14E fork sensor with smart user comfort thanks to easyTeach and automatic sensitivity readjustment during operation. The automatic readjustment compensates for changing material properties of the labels or the carrier, which leads to higher system availability. This results in significantly higher functional reliability through switching point optimization and reduced downtime when the label or carrier material is changed. ... 07.01.2022 #Leuze_Insights A challenge for fork sensors: labels made of cavitated BOPP. Have you ever heard of cavitated BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylen)? This is a type of film used in the food industry to produce #packaging for ice cream, chocolate bars, or bottle #labels. The main characteristic of this film is the tiny cavities that are created during its production. To achieve this, the film is aligned biaxially after extrusion it is stretched vertically and horizontally,... which results in microscopic cavities. This reduces the density and makes the film lighter. This is where ultrasonic sensors are pushed to their limits in terms of their detection capabilities. The new GSX14E fork sensor, which combines an ultrasonic and an optical system in one housing, detects even labels made of inhomogeneous cavitated BOPP material absolutely reliably. 04.01.2022 #Leuze_Insights Fork sensor technology tailored to each individual label type. Optical fork sensors can detect the full range of paper #labels, even if they have irregular shapes or outlines. Fork sensors with ultrasonic technology are always used when (semi-)transparent labels also need to be detected.... 03.01.2022 #Leuze_Insights Fork sensor applications: Splice detection with IGSU14E Splice Detection. Splices on paper or plastic webs can be perfectly detected with the ultrasonic fork sensor IGSU14E Splice Detection with integrated paper tear detection. The fork sensor has a simple teach process on webs with or without splice transport. Teach errors or paper tears can be displayed via a warning output or IO-Link interface. Remote teaching or locking of the buttons via IO-Link is al...so possible. 01.01.2022 #Leuze_Insights New in the product range: (I)GSU14E and GSX14E fork sensors with IO-Link Easy configuration and recipe management when changing labels. Do you need to detect different label formats made of a wide range of materials on a labeling machine? No problem with the new ultrasonic fork sensors (I)GSU14E and GSX14E with IO-Link! ... Quick and easy remote teaching or locking of the buttons via IO-Link interface Convenient format changeover to a different label type by uploading the respective parameter set including teach value to the fork sensor No setup time and no re-teaching of the fork sensor when changing rolls Easy format change by selecting the appropriate parameter set for the corresponding label format Convenient selection of the parameter set directly via the HMI (Human Machine Interface) More information: https://www.leuze.com//kombi_gabelsensor_gsx_14e/index.php #sensortechnology #sensor #forksensor #labeling #labelingmachines #labels #packaging #packagingindustry #packagingsystems #WeAreLeuze #LeuzeAustralia
