15.01.2022 On February 20, the world’s biggest miner reported a 58% slump in half year profits and announced their CEO was to retire (resign). Marius Kloppers has run BHP Billiton for over 6 years and is to be replaced by Andrew Mackenzie (a Scot, and current chief executive of Non-ferrous). This follows a massive $3b write down in its aluminium and nickel businesses.... The CEO swap at BHP follows similar movements at rivals RIO, Anglo American, and Xstrata.
