17.01.2022 Crays down the west, be out of their holes....just have to push the Whiteys out of the way to get them.

14.01.2022 Although they look like a stingray, stingarees differ in their tail; they lack a whip-like tail, and instead have a small fin on the tip. Stingarees are ovovivi...parous, meaning they give birth to live young. The female keeps the embryos in her womb, and they are fed from yolk sacs. Once these sacs are depleted, she provides them with nutrient rich milk until they are fully formed and ready to be born. How cool is that?! On Saturdays we share one of our volunteers wonderful images he has taken around Tasmania @exclosei

12.01.2022 Cuttlefish-Kiss Some years ago I filmed the cuttle cuddle at North Log. Then, same place and same time, two weeks ago we enjoyed the spectacle all over again. T...his time the performance to attract a mate was more flamboyant, so many colour changes and lots of zapping around. We noticed that both male and female did simulated egglaying during the foreplay, and finally they got down to the real business. Happy cuddling Jill, Grant and Team Uepi See more

02.01.2022 Weather permitting we'll have a dive this Saturday on the Avon at Georgetown. Plan is to swim down along the bank to 18m which is the depth of the Avon and then swim back up along the bank to do our stop so there will still be something to look at. We'll need to be in the water at 12:50 so arrive with enough time to gear up and jump in. Meeting place is 15 Esplanade S Georgetown
