25.01.2022 Just had a first time customer tell me he really loved the Original we’ve got, but it’s different, not the same as the authentic one we had somewhere south of Perth. He said ours was missing the beansprouts, shredded celery and red cabbage, and questioned why our carrots are pickled? This is why you’ll never see me use the word authentic because it’s overly used by competition to (possibly unintentionally ) deceive the uneducated minds. As we are all individuals, we ...have our own taste palate, so this is our Bánh Mì interpretation of the Original at Le Vietnam. From learning the craft of the Patê in Paris, the eggy butter mayo, baking bread, balancing the elements, marinating meats and pickling of the carrots in the motherland, we’ve kept this as close family recipes and to how you would find on the streets of Vietnam, ...so whether authentic or not, it’s the one that brought us to fame, but yeah, I’ll never use that word BánhMìversity starting soon This is a hot topic I share with you on my little podcast

24.01.2022 Made our own Bnh Ms in Hoi An @ Bnh M Phng where Anthony Bourdain made world-famous. Theres actually a really cool back story how this happen, but also another cool story on how Bourdain made his way through. Replicated the Bnh M inspired by his visit, we brought down what we learnt and documented back to Perth!!... Little things like this makes me want to push harder, til one day we become world-famous as well

23.01.2022 October is already here, Christmas decorations are already on the shelves at the shops, 11 weeks til we knock off for another lengthy break... although we highly doubt we will fly out this year though 2020 has been a roller coaster, from the lows of delays in renovations, then the very lows of corona, to the very, very highs of Keanu, we are on track to smash records again!! 11 weeks is going to fly quickly, come through for lunch with everyone!!

22.01.2022 As a small family business, one of the most incredible thing about social media is that its free. When you share/post a photo, like, comment of Le Vietnam, it helps generate new potential customers This photo was from @inexology, she helped us gain new regulars from students in Leederville Tafe where they bulk order 20-30 Bnh Ms on a weekly basis.... Then when they post up, it generates another branch of potential customers in the near future. At this current time where we need it, Please dont stop sharing, it really helps us so much!!

Available today at Shop1: Barrack Street Made from mushrooms, dehydrated for few days, then soaked overnight, then braised in mushroom stock, then caramelised with brown onions, then add a bit of Lee, then love, season to taste, then pan fried and ready to serve - took me about 8 weeks to trial this before releasing it to the public We hit and sold-out 87 of these just yesterday, I woke up extra earlier today so I... could make more!!
