23.01.2022 Tour planning today with these two amazing women. Lucy is helping me get out to Noonkanbah as one of the elders there. A very special woman with a big heart for the Kimberley. She’s already toured with Steve Grace and travelled to Israel!! We’ll be travelling together 8 hrs away to her home town. I’ll be in good hands I think. 16.01.2022 Well we’ve made the move to Kununurra, Western Australia for a really special season of our lives. 6 months ago we had no idea what this year held for us, but now we’re living in the top end in 41 degree heat! My wife Megan is working for Save The Children here in Indigenous Communities in early childhood education. I’m doing some work for international radio ministry Reach Beyond and will be sharing a bit about their work at gigs in the future. As far as touring I’m planni...ng to hit the road again in 2021. So excited to be able to play churches, schools and youth nights again and finally get to share new songs from the album. It’s about time. I’ll be starting here in WA but if you’re keen for me to come to your state, to play at your church or school, let me know and I’ll try and tweak the tour to drop by your area. Also, if you haven’t seen...there’s a new shirt out now at my online store and this week only it’s 20% off! Get in quick tho cos there’s limited supplies and sizes. 06.01.2022 So it’s happening. The donations have been coming in....on and offline and I really appreciate it. If you haven’t checked out my DESERT SOUNDS campaign give it a look here on Pozible. https://www.pozible.com/profile/desert-sounds I’m aiming to raise at least $1K a month to get to remote communities across the Kimberley from Kalumburu to Wangkatjungka and a whole bunch of WA towns in between. ... I’ve got a dream to run guitar, drumming and vocal workshops for aboriginal youth and young adults. Plus I’ll throw in a bunch of concerts and sing alongs too! Many of these places are super isolated and don’t have regular access to music lessons or performances. Getting young people learning an instrument benefits their mental health, can increase school attendance and encourages kids to pursue music as a career. This past month I’ve been meeting with Kimberley locals for advice, connections, directions and mud maps and I’m pleased to say it’s all coming together. If you’ve supported DESERT SOUNDS so far I thank you sincerely.....and if you’re thinking about it, jump on board and make a big difference in outback Aus. From me, ciao for now.
