So far I have spent $153 Have two weeks of fruit and veg Bulk items for month - flour - cheese - hummus ect Plus baking ingredients We do all our lunches and snakes planned into our shop. Don't regularly eat out. # top tip shop with a list made straight from your meal plan .

23.01.2022 Homemade Musli oats $3.5 Used nuts, seeds and dried fruit out the pantry. I added an extra cup of oats and left out the wheat germ .

17.01.2022 They say presumption is the mother of all fuck ups Yesterday I had a real struggle with Evie convincing her to get dressed so we could nip into the Post Office. Tears, screaming, begging, the works. Eventually I bribed her, saying if she wore her clothes and got in the car she could do some painting when we got home. So I got both kids in the car and drove to the Post Office. Evie unbuckled herself and was suddenly just wearing her knickers. I said, you were supposed to put... your clothes on while we went to the Post Office! I thought you meant just wear them to the car! I thought, fuck it we are only going in for a minute. I dont have time for The Unbelievable Torture That Is Wearing Clothes round 2. So we go into the Post Office and to my complete and utter shock, despite being told to stay close and behave, both kids ran riot. I swear they rolled on the floor, licked everything, touched everything. And one of the kids is basically naked. Some kind (and probably disgusted) people let me cut ahead of them in line so I could leave sooner. Needless to say there was no painting for the kids, and I learned to be more specific about my agreements with my sharp little four year old.

16.01.2022 We're in love with this pancake recipe 1 bannana 1egg 1tbs flour of your choice ... Multiply the amount to meet demand! for myself and two kids we do 2-3 . Extra adds tsp Hemp seeds Chi seeds Flax seed Or what ever your favourite extra is Method Place in blender Mix Cook on low heat

10.01.2022 Pantry challenge Little over a week since my main shop .today I did a small top up shop $17.68 and a futher $5 for an afternoon treat earlier in the week. Tip# don't buy more than you need in the top up shop. It only has to tie the rest of the meals and snakes together for a few days.

Last $19 shop posted below Really happy saved extra $50 on my goal and the pantry is looking far more respectable used so many duplicate items that had been sitting for a while . 08.01.2022 First taste of the home grown meat birds !! Carrisa and my self set out to see if we could produce our own chicken . There is defiantly room for improvement but it was still tasty . ... One step closer to being self sufficient. Side note : this was not a money saving exercise. We are no where near being able to produce our chicken for the price we buy it .

06.01.2022 Frugal February pantry challenge !! It's messy with loads of odds and ends. So to save moving a box full of food, I plan to eat it!... Hopfully pocket some extra cash of the grocery bill. As today is normally my shopping day I thought it was a great day to start. I'm not likely to make the shops till tomorrow ( common occuance) . 05.01.2022 Two and a half weeks into to full time 24/7 at home with my beautiful children . The current circumstances created this opportunity, however it doesn't come struggle free . The last couple of days have been very sleepless, as both my kids have been unwell .... The new reality of not having a break has started to sink in . 01.01.2022 Pantry challenge So I actually forgot to put up this post last week . We did two trips to the shop last week , once was the chemist . $13.24 after a late arvo beach trip we decided to make a takeout meal at home. ... In my experience it's cheaper to get extras from the supermarket than buy individual meals . So we did nachos with ice creams . Plus I got the box of desert items for $5 Total 12.83 Total spent for month $202.75 Goal $350 Left $147.25 I choose not to buy treats in our weekly shops .instead we will get a treat or as above if it's something we feel like on the day . Personally I feel like it makes it inconvenient to have it hopfully I stray from my meal plan less
