24.01.2022 A beautiful main bathroom fit off that we completed the other day. Very nice!

23.01.2022 Just some key hole plumbing surgery to retrieve a piece of villa board stuck 20m into a drain. If you find yourself with a blocked drain, were ready to diagnose and prescribe the right treatment! Were equipped with CCTV and Water Jetter to ensure that the symptoms can be fixed with as minimal impact as possible.

22.01.2022 Does your tap water look like this? Here is what you need to know... Brown water from the cold tap is likely rusty pipes. Brown water from your hot tap could indicate your hot water system is getting ready to go kaput, leaving you with a cold shower... Both of these are fairly easily resolved if theyre caught early. ... Feel free to message us for more info...

22.01.2022 Wishing you all a happy and safe long weekend!!!

18.01.2022 Slow or unreliable WiFi driving you nuts? There are a few things you can do to fix it... 1. Check the location of your router. If its too far from your device, or behind something (like a book on the shelf) the signal may be compromised 2. Restart your router. 3. Check to see if you have other programmes or applications running in the background using your bandwidth 4. Are you using a VPN (virtual private network)? They give you security but slow down your internet speed.... 5. Check what other devices are connected to your WiFi. If someone else in the home (or the neighbours!) are logged onto your network, you may notice the speed slowing down. 6. Call your friendly neighbourhood Data and Electrical professional. It may be something we can fix super fast. See more

16.01.2022 Check out this great job we completed - installation of LED strip lighting and a fan. Very difficult cabling but an amazing outcome! To top it off, the client was stoked with the result.

16.01.2022 With all the rain weve had lately, its important to keep an eye out for water leaks. The main signs are stains on your ceiling, or bubbling in the paint. A small leak can cause long term damage to your timber, Gyprock, insulation and if its near electrical wiring can be a serious safety risk. If you see the signs, or just want to be sure, give us a call or send us a message for a chat.

16.01.2022 Check out this little gem that we installed! Its a solar powered sky light - powered by a solar panel during the day and then at night it converts to a light fitting that is connected to a light switch. Very innovative idea.

16.01.2022 At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.

14.01.2022 What sort of water pipes are best? Well, most have their plusses and minuses. Here are just a few. Copper is reliable and still widely used, but expensive. Also not great in very cold climates. ... PVC is easy to use, light and can handle high pressure but its not great with heat so cant be used for hot water. CPVC is safe, good with hot and cold water and still light and inexpensive. Its relatively new but becoming more popular due to its ease of use. PEX and PB pipes. Good for use inside the home as its flexible, stands up to hot and cold water and easy to use. Some PEX and PB pipes are now UV safe but not all, so check with your plumber!! Galvanised iron pipes havent been used to transport drinking water since the 70s and if theyre corroded may pose a risk. If youve got those old grey metal water pipes, might be time to get them checked!

04.01.2022 Check this out! The dangers of electricity!! This is proof that power is not to be touched unless by someone qualified. We were able to sort this out for our client so that the powerpoint is now safe. That could have been deadly...

04.01.2022 Some topical Dad jokes, in honour of all the Dads that celebrated Fathers Day over the weekend. Heres to you and yours! What is a plumbers favorite vegetable? Leeks! ... Why did Mr Ohm marry Mrs Ohm? Because he couldnt resistor!

03.01.2022 This is a friendly reminder to clean out your gutters. We know it's not a fun job, but it will save you problems in the long run. Leaf litter and debris left t...o build up in gutters can cause water to back up and overflow, resulting in damage to your property. The weight of debris and backed up water can also cause damage to the gutters themselves. The leaf litter could become home to different kinds of unwanted pests, or create the perfect conditions for mould to grow. If you find a blockage that you can't clear or need help repairing your drainage systems, contact Lexicon today. It's better to be on top of a small problem before it becomes a big one!

03.01.2022 Were all spending a lot of time at home at the moment, and placing more load on our electrical and data systems. If you need support, were still here, were following all the Government hygiene regulations and were ready to help! Message us if youre concerned about any of your electrical systems.

02.01.2022 Have you had your electrical wiring checked lately? This is a great example of how an old switch board and old protection cannot do its job. Our client lost power overnight and it was as a result of a short circuit in the switchboard that could have caused a serious fire!!

01.01.2022 Stay safe and dry in this rainy weather today! If you find yourself with storm water or power issues, don't hesitate to give us a call on 02 4739 5552 and we can help you out.
