24.01.2022 A great article I had published with Inside Small Business last week! One thing I ensure my team do is advise people of their application outcomes! It is even more important to tell people that aren’t successful!

23.01.2022 We are very "Happy" to be supporting these 3 great causes at the event this Saturday, in support of eradicating domestic abuse and family violence. We are looking forward to attending The Happiness Gala this weekend as one of their Change Maker Sponsors! #togetherwecan #happinessco #tailoredresources

17.01.2022 A handy interview tip which I've recognised during my time as a Recruiter. As an interview is nearing a conclusion, you're likely excited and thinking to yourself "I hope I get this job!" When you're asked, "Do you have any questions for us?" ensure that you ALWAYS have a question... ... Some examples can be: - Could you describe a typical day in this role? - What would you say the culture is like at this company? - What is the biggest challenge this company is currently facing? - How will my performance be measured? - Do you have any hesitations about me or my resume that I can address before we finish? Lastly, it's always great to ask "Do you know when I can expect to hear back about the position?" #interviewtips #interviewskills #tailoredresources #recruitment

16.01.2022 What does overqualified really mean? You hear it a lot in the recruitment game, and I have given an inside scoop into some of the more common meanings. Generally, overqualified means 1 of 2 things, they feel your age wouldn’t fit their team dynamic or you’re expecting (generally rightly so) a higher salary than what the position may be paying. ... I chatted with @9news Monica Kos the other week on these exact things, some of the handy tips below. IF you feel age is the barrier; - Don't be afraid of technology and look at brushing up on your skills such as typing - Be willing to take on a casual position and treat it as a working interview And if you think money may be the problem; - Really understand your budget and what salary you can take at a minimum - Rather than negotiate the salary, negotiate the same salary for reduced hours (think 9-day fortnight) For these and more great tips listen to the interview here! #recruitment #tailoredresources #channel9 #mediastable #mediacommentator

10.01.2022 An outstanding achievement by our Mobilisation Officer Bianca Kostecki. Our Key Client, a large catering and accommodation service provider tasked our team with the mobilisation of 30 chefs with a 24-hour turnaround for a large-scale shut down on site. Our Mobilisation Officer Bianca Kostecki was able to have these positions filled within the same day and has spent the weekend completing compliance and sourcing further candidates to support the project. ... This is just one of the benefits of having a recruiting partner that operates 7 days per week! We are always here to support your needs! If you'd like to discuss how Tailored Resources can assist with your shutdowns or large-scale recruitment needs within strict deadlines then give me a call or send me an email as we'd be happy to assist! 09.01.2022 I have been doing a lot of work with Nine News lately! I really love being able to share my knowledge with the world! #10years in #recruitment has finally paid off! Last week Monica and I were talking about: ... - Reference Checks and what recruiters are really trying to find out - What is a Character Reference, and whom you should use - Behind the scenes to what happens when you send recruiters your resume - My TOP 5 TIPS when searching for a job! Let me know some topics you would love me to cover next time? #ninenewsperth #10yearsinrecruitment #sharingknowledge #recruitmentexpert

06.01.2022 I am currently writing for Inside Small Business! This month's #hottopic how to fire someone the right way! Generally, it shouldn't be a surprise, as you should have had several conversations leading up to that point in order to assist that person to improve. When I have had to fire people in the past, I ask myself what contribution I have or haven't had to their successes and failures, and what more could we as an organisation and I personally could have done to support that... person to succeed. 02.01.2022 Treating every candidate with respect and care is absolutely crucial in the Recruitment Industry. Obtaining a position in the FIFO industry with little experience can be tricky at times however we always encourage and do our best to give everyone an opportunity where possible. With a strong focus and determination, your entry-level position can lead to something amazing! Dharshan for example has moved from a Utility into a Trade Assistant working a consistent roster on vario...us Rio Tinto mine sites across Western Australia. His determination and persistence have played a pivotal role in his growth! As a recruiter, you just never know how you can truly impact someone’s trajectory in life when all it takes is a little care and consideration #recruitment #candidateexperience #candidatecare

02.01.2022 Here are my thoughts to close out 2020! Although we are open all the way through #recruitersneversleep. I wanted to start to gather my thoughts for the year and thank everyone involved in this journey so far before you all take leave for the year! I have had so much fit into the year that was 2020, so of course, my journal entry was too long for a standard LinkedIn post! If your interested in all that I have learned this year and all that we have achieved, please spare a mome...nt to have a read! I have a lot of people to thank, and I will try and tag you all in the comments, but please don't feel bad if I miss you, just tag yourself! I am beyond excited for what we are going to achieve together at Tailored Resources in 2021. And cannot thank our clients and candidates enough for your support!
