When I moved to Warragul 18 years ago I joined the team and have been here ever since! We have a wonderful team and I enjoy coming to work everyday. As an optical assistant, I enjoy helping patients - whether it be finding the perfect frame or fixing a frame after those unfortunate accidents!... Outside of work, my hobbies include renovating, walking my dog and I enjoy sport - volleyball, netball and tennis. Our two kids have recently moved out of home, so hubby and I are empty nesters! 18.01.2022 PRUE HUNT, Optical Assistant - Moe Prue has been with L&F Eyecare for nearly 12 years and we love her bright, bubbly personality! Prior to working with L&F I was in pharmacy, which I think gave me a great base for stepping into the role here. I enjoy coming to work every single day and working with the crew here! They are such a great group of girls. I think we’ve all been here so long for similar reasons - the atmosphere, our work environment, ongoing training and just how... nice they are to work for! I’ve always lived in Newborough, family is everything to me! Outside of work I enjoy catching up with friends, hanging with my cavoodle Molly, the gym and walking. I also enjoyed meeting new people and helping people wherever I could, optometry was a great combination of all of my interests. I’ve been a practicing optometrist for over 30 years and it has been one of my most rewarding achievements. I live with my family in Glen Waverley but commute here because I love working with L&F. There's a great sense of camaraderie in our workplace and a genuine interest in ongoing professional development. 13.01.2022 Last week L&F Eyecare had eight doctors from the West Gippsland Hospital Emergency department come into our clinic for a training session. Our experienced optometrists, Adam, Lanka, Markus and Ken were able to provide expert tuition in the use of the slit-lamp and corneal foreign body removal. A slit lamp is a microscope with a bright light used during an eye exam, it allows us to take a closer look at the different structures at the front of and inside the eye. It's a key ...tool in determining the health of your eyes and detecting eye disease! It was a pleasure to assist in this role and congratulations to all for mastering this important skill! We would like to say a big thank-you to Radfords for providing cow eyeballs as well!
