24.01.2022 No Bishop can forbid Communion on the tongue as it is and remains the NORMATIVE mode of distribution in the Roman (Latin) Rite. Communion in the hand was given... to this country (Australia), on the 28th September 1976, by way of an Indult. This too is still current! Regards the Extraordinary Form of the Church: no Bishop or Priest can take matters into his own hands on this issue. Communion on the tongue is the only legitimate manner of receiving and distribution. For this to change, a Bishop would need apply to the Holy See for a rescript. Any Bishop trying to do this would be abusing his authority and would be abusing the Rite and the sentiments of the souls who worship in the traditional liturgical usage. In short it would be a flagrant act of Clericalism. A Bishop for a serious reason, may suspend the distribution of the Sacrament as it should be remembered that Holy Communion is a privilege and not an ABSOLUTE right! https://www.fli.org.au/coronavirus-and-holy-communion/

22.01.2022 "Contrary to what has been said throughout this pandemic, we do not consider church attendance to be non-essential; indeed, nothing is more essential than the p...ractice of our faith. Premier, Catholics are not asking for special treatment, we are asking for equal treatment." Archbishop Anthony Fisher has initiated a petition to the Premier. Please sign and share.

21.01.2022 This morning I received an email from a friend, Craig Glantz who lives in Philadelphia and who looks after the Helpers in Brooklyn New York website for Monsign...or Reilly. He was with him last night and sent me the following:- "Msgrs last day at the monastery is Feb 29th! He is devastated!! We were just with him last night. He is being forced to move to an elderly home for priests! Please keep him in prayer. The cancer is also back on his nose." Any who have been to the Precious Blood Monastery in Brooklyn where Monsignor Reilly has been Chaplain for over 30 years, know how beautiful it is and how much it has meant to him, to have been in residence there. Monsignor Philip Reilly has been an amazing influence on and inspiration for, many in the pro-life movement around the world. Please in your charity keep him in your prayers and intentions for what sound like his remaining days here on earth.

20.01.2022 Retired Archbishop Jan Lenga was ordained in secret during the Communist regime in Lithuania. He knows well how to keep the Faith in times of chaos and asks, W...here are the bishops? Where are the cardinals? Where are the Church hierarchy, usually so self-confident and important? No, they are all hidden away, having left the people alone. You cant reach them in their offices or on the phone. They are staying put, so as not to have to do anything. When they call for the people to pray the Rosary, they only very gently suggest that prayer is an option. Why dont they come out and show people how to pray?[1] https://www.fli.org.au/they-have-taken-away-my-lord/

20.01.2022 Steve Mosher is head of the Population Research Institute (PRI) in Virginia USA. He was the first western social scientist to expose China's one child policy ex...tremes and report it whilst doing a doctoral thesis in a rural Chinese village. This led him into the Catholic Church eventually. Standford University refused his doctorate because of pressure from China. He has 3 Masters degrees. He testifies before US Senate, Congressional and Military Commissions. FLI Australia is an affiliate organisation to PRI and my wife and I consider Steve Mosher and his beautiful wife Vera as good friends. Here is Steve's take on the US election and the corrupt practices engaged in by those who would impose a totalitarian regime over the whole world and to whom the removal of Donald Trump was an essential step. https://www.lifesitenews.com//color-revolution-biden-team-

19.01.2022 Wishing all our supporters, benefactors, advisers and friends a very Holy and Blessed Easter and may the Risen Lord protect you all from the virus plaguing the ...whole world and keep you safe. May he also protect you from the social and economic upheaval which will follow from the extreme measures governments have had to take to protect those most at risk. You are all in our prayers. May God bless you all. See more

19.01.2022 With each day that passes, the list of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) lies about the origin and spread of the China Coronavirus continues to grow. Each and ever...y one of these lies cost lives, and the death toll continues to mount. https://www.lifesitenews.com//did-chinas-leaders-deliberat

17.01.2022 "A byproduct of the coronavirus crisis has been the renewed emphasis on societys protection of its most vulnerable members. Experience has shown that healthy p...regnant mothers, unborn babies and children have little to fear from the virus, but that older people and those with underlying health conditions are at higher risk of adverse outcomes if they contract COVID-19 and thus represent the most vulnerable groups in this present pandemic. Coincidentally, these two cohorts the aged and the physically weak are those most vulnerable to assisted suicide/euthanasia services and this serves to illustrate a double standard that has become increasingly evident over the past few months." https://www.fli.org.au/assisted-suicide-laws-expose-our-le/

16.01.2022 Our recent article on the link between contraception and abortion prompted much debate on social media, indicating that many Christians have strong opinions on ...the subject. This is little wonder, considering that the issue of contraception strikes at the heart of every marriage. But those who so easily adopt the worlds concept of family size and responsible parenting would do well to investigate the culture that prevailed until birth control became the default position for most churches. https://www.fli.org.au/non-catholic-opponents-of-contracep/

15.01.2022 "In Bill Gates we see a nexus of control over health, politics, surveillance, finance, energy, water and digital industries, making him a perfect frontman for a... global economy. Coupled with his influence on social norms such as family size, it becomes obvious that Gates has been behind plans for a One World Government nothing other than Freemasonic attempts to create a socialist utopia." https://www.fli.org.au/bill-gates-saviour-for-a-new-world-/

15.01.2022 Catholics who live the message of Fatima are undoubtedly wondering whether we have entered the final period of confusion which precedes Our Ladys Triumph. So m...any of us are fond of reminding each other that, In the end, Her Immaculate Heart will triumph. "Historically, we are a remnant. Our Lady did not want those values to disappear from the Earth, and thus She chose us. 15.01.2022 Excellent call in to ABC Radio in the country from an Aboriginal caller who leaves the host stumped for words!

15.01.2022 An event touted as Queensland’s first public Black Mass was held in Noosa last week; it was live-streamed to an unknown number of viewers worldwide. The sold-ou...t event no great feat as apparently only forty tickets were available took place in a council-owned venue known as The J. Readers are no doubt aware that a Black Mass is a blasphemous parody of the Catholic Mass, sometimes involving the desecration of a consecrated host. Satanists concocted the ritual of a Black Mass as a deliberate insult to the one, true God an insult of the highest order and use the ritual as a means of summoning and communing with satan. 14.01.2022 "We are not made to be alone. Its time to discard these lies. The path to holiness cannot be trod in comfort and safety. Eventually we must get out of the boat..., despite the storm raging around us, and our fear. To follow Christ we must fix our gaze on His and walk towards Him. It is then that we can be perfected in charity so that we are no longer overly concerned about ourselves, but we begin to see the suffering in our neighbour. It is then that we will embrace and surrender to the Cross of Christ in our own lives and in the lives of others. Only then will we find ourselves together in this agony; united in love." This is an extract from this excellent article expressing far more eloquently what I've been saying for sometime now. https://catholicexchange.com/we-are-not-made-to-be-alone

14.01.2022 MAKING THE MOST OF THE CRISIS THEY CREATED "If you blinked, you might have missed almost identical pieces of legislation recently passed by regional governments.... Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory both adopted laws within days of each other to criminalise so-called conversion therapy. Legislation demands that health service providers reject any therapy or pastoral care which suggests changing or suppressing a persons sexual attraction or gender identity. The penalty? Up to 18 months in jail in Queensland, and up to $24,000 in fines and 12 months imprisonment in the ACT." https://www.fli.org.au/conversion-therapy-and-government-a/

14.01.2022 Abortion-mill bubble-zones were first introduced in Tasmania in 2013, with other states and territories following suit since then. This article explains my pa...rt in the legal challenge to those zones which ended this week in Melbourne. Paul Hanrahan from FLI and representatives of the Melbourne Helpers had been in discussion with senior Victoria Police officers for several weeks prior to this regarding the best course of action to test these totalitarian laws. https://www.fli.org.au/the-abortion-lobbys-bubble-hasnt-bu/

12.01.2022 Just a few months ago during the terrible bushfires the media was making plenty, of the marvellous Aussie spirit that brings us all together in moments of crisi...s and that when the chips are down we all pull together. Right now these "marvellous" aussies are stampeding over each other to stockpile food and essential grocery items with a completely selfish attitude and it has now become every man for himself and the same media add to the frenzy by beating up the pandemic and the hysteria. 12.01.2022 This much seems clear to me: we are being given an opportunity by Divine Providence to CLEAN UP OUR HOUSE. If you want to know why I say this, read my article t...oday at 1P5. For many, it will be an eye-opening account of just how bad things are (or were, before the "shutdown"). "In spite of the fact that the Churchs faith is spelled out clearly in 2,000 years worth of catechisms, sermons, spiritual writings, codes of law, and liturgical rubrics, it may be possible that many priests, due to poor catechesis and formation, do not even hold the Catholic faith in the Real Presence in every particle and drop of the sacred species, or in the essential distinction between ordained and non-ordained ministers (and the responsibilities that come with it), or in the primacy of the worship of God over horizontal social relationships. Are seminarians taught that even particles of the hosts or drops in the chalice are still the Most Blessed Sacrament? Certainly most of the laity seem to be altogether unaware of this. If that is true, it does not excuse us, but renders the judgment all the heavier, since the baptized are required before God to know the fundamentals of their religion, and the Eucharist is at the heart of Catholicism. "The wisdom of the Roman Churchs traditional practices always limiting communion to one species, having the host distributed only by ordained ministers and only on the tongue to faithful who are kneeling (making the sign of adoration without which, says St. Augustine, we commit sin), and having the priest thoroughly cleanse the few vessels in use before the Mass ends has never been so dazzlingly clear, and yet never so unappreciated or despised. Will the Bride of Christ on Earth respond with humble repentance and zealous reform? Or will the lament of the prophet Jeremiah continue to resound? 'As a woman that despiseth her lover, so hath the house of Israel despised me, saith the Lord' (Jer. 3:20)."

12.01.2022 We have been working on a campaign to provide an ethically developed vaccine for the corona virus and making that vaccine optional; that is, not mandatory, as w...ell as providing information on the safety procedures followed or not followed in its development. To that end we spent some time in drafting and sending a letter to the Australian Catholic Bishops asking them to support our campaign and then drafting and sending a letter to the Prime Minister, Health Minister and Chief Medical Officer asking the above. That letter was signed by the National President of the Australian Catholic Medical Association and endorsed by the Patron of Solidarity for Healthcare, FLI and the Catholic Women's League President. The petition supporting that letter is now on the Federal Parliamentary website. The letter to the Prime Minister and others along with the link to the petition can be found at the following link on the FLI website below. https://www.fli.org.au/e-petition-regarding-corona-virus-v/

11.01.2022 Despite this warning, dont expect the filthy sex promoting "sex ed" classes in schools, or the wholesale public promotion of sexual "liberation" in society to ...be dropped, or for them to promote abstinence and chastity. 10.01.2022 The French government has been notably restrained in their criticism of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for unleashing a pandemic upon the world. One possibl...e reason for their reticence is a single, highly embarrassing fact: They essentially built the Wuhan Institute of Virologys P4 lab in which the coronavirus now sweeping the world was being researched, and from which it escaped. https://www.lifesitenews.com//how-france-helped-build-chin

10.01.2022 A law in the State of Victoria mandating Catholic Priests break the seal of the confessional if they become aware of child sexual abuse was passed last year and... became operative from February this year. A similar law has passed the Lower House in Western Australia and has passed to their Legislative Council. There have been calls for a review by the Legislative Council before any vote in Parliament. In Queensland similar laws are being drafted but have not been proposed as yet. In NSW the State Government has deferred plans for similar laws. https://www.fli.org.au/survivors-and-the-seal-of-confession/

09.01.2022 Very sad. The passing of an era and a holy and humble priest who has had a massive impact on the pro-life world and yet that most don't even know. My stays at the Precious Blood Monastery will stay with me always and are some of my happiest and greatest memories. God bless you Monsignor you are in our prayers every day.

06.01.2022 Once someone learns the truth about abortion, usually through the use of abortion victim imagery, ultrasound or medical diagrams, it is quite easy for them to a...ccept that this procedure is immoral, since it obviously involves the killing of a baby. However, it is far more difficult to convince people that avoiding babies through the use of artificial contraception is also immoral. With so many pro-life organisations either ignoring contraception or actually endorsing it, this might be the right time for committed Catholics to renew the campaign against contraception as we play our part in the war on nascent human life. Read this week's article "We can't end abortion unless we end contraception!" https://www.fli.org.au/we-cant-end-abortion-unless-we-end-/

06.01.2022 "Until these serious problems are faced with honesty, movements like Black Lives Matter will continue to foment tension between indigenous and non-indigenous Au...stralians, leaving the most vulnerable caught in a cycle of abuse. Aboriginal people deserve every support in being assisted to flourish but this will never happen while their grave problems are overlooked and while feminist practices, such as contraception, are imported into their traditional culture." This article examines in details the Black Lives Matter movement and the serious abuses suffered by aboriginals and overlooked by this political movement. https://www.fli.org.au/which-black-lives-matter/

06.01.2022 Paul Hanrahan of Family Life International is not surprised that abortion lobbyists are at the forefront of cancelling conservatives and Christians: Ive bee...n saying for decades that anyone who endorses the killing of little children is capable of anything, be it undermining the institution of marriage, putting the elderly to death or silencing dissenting opinions. Few other sins are as effective at deadening the conscience as is abortion. The current ploy of the anarchist movement "cancel culture" has sown civil unrest and mayhem around the world. The anti-christian socialist movement that drives this has been working away to undermine the Christian world for centuries and especially the last 100 years. https://www.fli.org.au/legal-abortion-and-cancel-culture/

06.01.2022 The Governments of Australia have all issued edicts similar to this in NSW regards gatherings in what they describe as "non-essential" services:- The following ...businesses are not to open to members of the public: *pubs and registered clubs, except to: sell food or beverages for customers to consume off the premises provide hotel or motel accommodation, as well as food or beverages to guests to consume in their rooms *food and drink premises (other than pubs), except to: sell food or beverages for customers to consume off the premises provide food or beverages to guests to consume in their hotel or motel rooms *entertainment facilities *amusement centres *casinos, except to: provide food or beverages to guests to consume in their hotel or motel rooms *micro-breweries, small distilleries or cellar door premises, except to: sell food or beverages for customers to consume off the premises *recreation facilities (indoor) *places of public worship, except to: conduct wedding or funeral services. Not only are Churches "non-essential" they are almost an afterthought being at the end of a list below Pubs,Clubs, Casino's etc.! I would think as a Catholic, that Mass and the Sacraments are a Most Essential service. This is proof of what our Governments think of Religious Belief and Practice. Don't expect anything good to come out of the Religious Freedom Bill! While I'm on a roll; it's ok for our Doctors and Nurses and medical staff to put their lives on the line to try and save lives. No one denies there is great risk and they are brave to do so. However, when Souls and eternal life is on the line where are the Bishops and Priests? Why shouldn't they be risking their own lives to save the souls of their flocks and the lost sheep? Paul Hanrahan Executive Director

05.01.2022 A Melbourne college run by Jesuits is fostering an environment which favours deviant sex but bullies Catholics who try to uphold traditional teaching on sexuali...ty and marriage. Newman College is a century-old residential campus for Catholics who attend the University of Melbourne. 05.01.2022 The COVID-19 panic is unnecessary it is much less threatening than we think - Adam Creighton in The Australian. 1/9/20 When Peter Allen longed for Australias... quiet cities unlike New York, Rio and London, which never slept Melbourne 2020 wasnt what he had in mind. Yet for months the vast bulk of Victorians has backed the strictest lockdown imposed almost anywhere. The love of being free is on ice, and roaming is limited to just 5km. Deutsche Bank analyst Tim Baker was perplexed on Friday, highlighting in a research note to clients the extent to which Australia and New Zealand stand out for a heavy response to a relatively mild problem. Put simply the Antipodes have coronavirus caseloads at the bottom of the pack but lockdown stringency at the top; governments have chosen to respond with extreme caution, he said. In France, about 5000 cases a day are being diagnosed, yet the French government has vowed not to lock down the country again. Indeed, if my friends social media accounts are anything to go by, Europe rapidly is getting back to normal. While the flow of cases has rebounded a little, death rates have collapsed. Meanwhile on Monday, after another 73 new cases were announced in Victoria, Australian Deputy Chief Medical Officer Nick Coatsworth said it was unlikely the second six-week lockdown would end on September 13. What can explain such extreme behaviour, and the extraordinary contrast in attitude, well into a pandemic that has been much less deadly than feared? Last week the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention said only a fraction of US deaths from or with COVID-19 were attributed solely to coronavirus. For 6 per cent of the US deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death, it said, to little media fanfare. A Roy Morgan poll last week found 72 per cent supported Victorias 8pm to 5am curfew and 5km restriction. Three-quarters said restaurants, cafes and pubs shouldnt be able to serve food even with social distancing. Almost 90 per cent wanted masks to be compulsory when leaving home. Almost 60 per cent wanted it to remain illegal to visit immediate family. Until this year, the World Health Organisation and senior disease experts advised against all of these actions to combat viral epidemics. From the perspective of those halcyon days, our response to the coronavirus would be a story befitting Charles Mackays classics Extraordinary Popular Delusions and The Madness of Crowds. Masked solo drivers are now a common sight in Sydney. Perhaps Victorians authoritarian tendencies have arisen from extreme and unjustified fear of the coronavirus. Even in nations that didnt mandate tough lockdowns, such as Sweden, economic activity and movement collapsed. In Britain and Sweden the public thinks 6 per cent to 7 per cent of the population has died, which would be 3.6 million and 600,000 people, respectively. The figures are 41,500 and 5800. Interestingly, Swedens overall mortality for this year, adjusted for population size, is barely distinguishable from previous years. Franklin Templeton, a US investment manager, recently conducted a survey of Americans that left its chief investment officer stunned. About 70 per cent of all age groups said they were worried about contracting serious health effects from the virus, a staggering discrepancy with the actual mortality data. For people aged 18 to 24 the share of whose worried about health consequences is 400 times higher than their share of total COVID deaths, for 25 to 34 its 90 times, Sonal Desai said. The misperception is greater for those who identify as Democrats and for those who rely more on social media for information. As growth of cases slows, as it has everywhere, many Victorians will attribute the decline wholly to the lockdown, to the wisdom of the state government, a classic logical fallacy but politically powerful. Looking at data from 23 countries and 25 US states, economists from the US Federal Reserve and the University of California last month found growth rates of coronavirus deaths surged and dissipated rapidly everywhere, notwithstanding government policy. Given that transmission rates for COVID-19 fell virtually everywhere in the world during this early pandemic period, we are concerned that studies may substantially overstate the role of government-mandated shutdowns in reducing disease transmission, they wrote. Humans spontaneously took action to avoid viruses, whatever government said, they reasoned, and unexplained natural forces also accounted for the decline in transmission. Seven of the eight influenza pandemics since 1700 fizzled out without any government action. Unfortunately, each of those seven had a second substantial peak approximately six months after the first, they did add, somewhat ominously. The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed and hence clamorous to be led to safety, American journalist HL Mencken wrote. Fear might be helpful in eliciting compliance with public health measures and for attracting clicks to online news articles but its a disaster for economic activity and the livelihoods of swathes of the population who would like to get on with their life. If most people significantly over-estimate the risk of coronavirus in a years time, they will not travel or consume in anything like the way they used to. Life will be a lot less pleasant. For now, JobKeeper and JobSeeker have papered over the economic damage wrought by lockdowns and fear. George Orwell worried that mans future was a boot stamping on his face. If the government doesnt rectify such misplaced fear, it may end up being a mask. 04.01.2022 Today (7/4/20)the Australian High Court unanimously acquitted Cardinal George Pell of historic child abuse charges. Cardinal Pell was charged with the ignominio...us crime in June 2017, convicted in December 2018 and lost his subsequent appeal last August . His case was heard in the High Court in March of this year. Cardinal Pell was incarcerated for more than four hundred days and was unable to celebrate Mass in that time. 03.01.2022 Pretty well sums it up despite some historical inaccuracies; the Aztecs sacrificed adult males and teenage boys principally. There were plenty of baby/child sacrifices around the world throughout history but nothing comes close to the horror of the second half of the 20th century and the first 20 years this century though; 2.5 billion over the last 50 years not counting abortifacient contraceptives. No wonder the world is in a stupor while they concoct more horror with the pandemic under the guise of protecting lives!

02.01.2022 Pope Francis said the forced isolation devised to stop the pandemic was presenting the danger of people living the faith only for themselves detached from the... sacraments, the Church and the people of God. Online Masses and spiritual communion do not represent the Church, he said in his homily at his morning Mass in the chapel of his residence on 17 April. This is the Church in a difficult situation that the Lord is allowing, but the ideal of the Church is always with the people and with the sacraments always, Pope Francis said. https://www.catholicweekly.com.au/pope-warns-of-danger-in-/
