25.01.2022 Melanie of Kotara was looking improve her property fast and in less than 1 day had an instant garden makeover. Melanie commented "amazing I cant believe the difference you have made" Lakeside Garden Creations pruned and shaped all existing plants, removed the unsightly weeds and finished the gardens with a 12mm Fine Pine Mulch. All within Melanies budget and timeframe required.

25.01.2022 Thanks very much to the team at Patioworld Newcastle. Their new showroom at 34 Enterprise Drive Beresfield is coming along amazing. I was given the pleasure to overhaul their 2 premises to open to the public. All rocks on-site were re-used, the carpark areas and gardens have been landscaped using natives, drought tolerant plantings and finished with weed minimal, low maintenance options. Signage is eye catching. Thanks to all the staff who were friendly, welcoming and engag...ing in my time while landscaping Patioworld. Check out their new showrooms. A Grade set up and helpful team. Shout out to Jason West of Patioworld who made this all possible.

23.01.2022 Justin and Katherine of Mount Hutton had a new town house that had been landscaped with over growing high maintenance plants. With a green back fence not matching side fencing a design and change was requested. A more formal design using low maintenance Teddy Bear Magnolia, white flowing Gardenias and "Straight and Narrow" Lilly Pilly and feature Dwarf white Crepe Myrtle was used, mulched to prevent weeds and rear fence sprayed to match. Now they can access and maintain their garden.

22.01.2022 Treated Pine Retaining Wall being constructed in Cardiff NSW. An existing wall is damaged and has lent over. A 3 stage wall will be constructed and old wall covered.

22.01.2022 Warren & Helen of Booragul had an existing retaining wall that was 30+ years old. In poor condition the wall was beginning to fall over. All of this wall and stumps were removed and new 75mm heavy duty stumps concreted in. The new wall was also constructed with 75mm face boards as requested. Where walls go wrong is contact with soil and moisture. All of my landscaping retaining walls have Grunt Builders plastic used to remove these elements and give walls such a longer life e...xpectancy. The client will paint walls Monument Grey as suggested. Thanks Warren & Helen.

21.01.2022 Everybody loves a BEFORE AND AFTER LANDSCAPING SHOT. Jeff and Jenni of Warner's Bay had an overgrown planting scheme they wanted changed. Requirements: Low maintenance, Modern and Formal planting and outstanding lawn area. The result a very appreciated front garden by my kindest clients to work with and very noticed by the Warner's Bay locals.... Big thank you to you both as they accepted gratefully my 10 year old son who wanted to earn some pocket money and help Dad during Corona Virus times as a very noticed apprentice. See more

21.01.2022 Jeff & Kerry Anne of Belmont North requested a makeover to their back paved entertainment area. What was a unsightly corner area was transformed into a requested Dry Creek Bed. Jeff and Kerry are now pleased to have a view from their courtyard area and from inside their house.

19.01.2022 Tim & Belinda from Merewether had a clear mind vision of how their landscaping would look. The existing lawn was removed, gardens created using drought tolerant succulents, natural bush stepstones laid and hardy Sir Walter lawn installed. On stage 1 water restrictions a permit is applied for to get lawn established and from then on Sir Walter is very drought tolerant if maintained correctly. 19.01.2022 Wendy of Cardiff was not happy with her tired garden with weeds and high maintenance plants. Being a Senior also made the task too difficult to look after. A Garden Makeover can transform old garden appeal and her choice of drought tolerant bird attracting natives have given her property a required lift. Simple yet effective. Tropical Gardens vary in complexity with some requesting a particular feel of a country they may have visited or just a hint of design they enjoy as a garden. Tropical Gardens suit properties of Lake Macquarie and Newcastle due to the sub tropical Summers & match almost all house types.

15.01.2022 Winston and Suzan had problems with a timber wall badly constructed leaning and giving away. The old wall and picket fencing was removed, new posts installed and painted and a decorative fencing installed. The masonry blocks are eternal and are laid on a solid concrete footing. They both wanted to view the bush and extensive bird population so an old colourbond fence was remove and see through fencing with gate access was also installed.

15.01.2022 As the Summer Drought takes its tolls on your garden here are 10 ideas to protect and add value to your property. 1. Mulching is the number one way to hold down the water, reduce water loss and reduce your weeds. Lakeside Garden Creations uses a Fine Pine Mulch for this purpose. 2. Using Wettasoil dug lightly into soil before mulching greatly assists water retention before mulching.... 3. Lawns come back with even the slightest rain. They can be greatly assisted by using a Lawn Builder before an anticipated rain day. Results can be seen within a week after application. HOPE YOU ARE ALL MOWING YOUR LAWN ON HIGHER SETTINGS. This reduces lawns dying back quickly. 4. Install a storm water diverter to tanks, bins or piping to harvest rain when home onto lawns or gardens. 5. Replace removed plants with drought tolerant plants. If landscaped drought effectively future droughts make less impact and you save water overall. 6. Succulents flower, use little water, fertiliser and care ongoing. So do natives which assist our wildlife. 7. Dead areas of grass can be replaced with rock steps stones to create a mowless area. 8.Tuscan stone paths remove areas to your house where lawns have browned or hard to grow. 9.Paving areas are great to entertain, no mowing or dirt and are permanent value adding area. 10. A deck area will eliminate the need for garden or grass and great for entertainment.

09.01.2022 Kevin & Alison of Garden Suburb wanted their garden maintained and shaped. They said " Our house entrance and inside the house is dark and little light gets in. We would like the garden to look clean and tidy. " In 1 day the garden was transformed and tidied up. Kevin and Alison are now making enquires for their back garden.

09.01.2022 Mick and Debbie of Charlestown had an area of garden that was overgrown and unusable. They requested the area be made grass with a smaller garden so their family pet dog ridgeback could utilise the area too. The existing plants were removed and some re-located, new soil added to gardens and lawn areas, brick edging installed and Sir Walter Instant turf laid to create a new garden space. 08.01.2022 Marilyn of Warner's Bay had a pile of dirt and rocks and wanted to create an area of design that could make her courtyard interesting. All the hardscapes were requested and constructed. A retaining wall was installed using concrete Sleepers using Ridgi products. A colourbond fence and gate has given Marilyn access to the Body Corporate areas. 07.01.2022 Terry & Kerry of Redhead had a poorly grassed area with weeds and messy plants as a front entrance to their property. A total Landscape was required. Existing soil areas where rotary hoed and dug over, weeds poisoned and removed and a design started with brick edging, step stones and side way access to meters made user friendly. Poor sandy soil common to Redhead needed quality soils added to allow their new garden to flourish, Plants where designed to both their needs of low... maintenance and to tolerate coastal conditions and area finished with top range Sir Walter Buffalo instant turf. 06.01.2022 MY CLIENTS ARE SO SUPPORTIVE. EVEN DURING SUCH TESTING TIMES THEY CONTINUE TO SUPPORT TRADES AND OUR LOCAL ECONOMY. Vera from Kahibah had a hardwood retaining wall surrounding her pool. After termite problems, Vera wanted it gone. The replacement product was Versalock Retaining Blocks produced by ADBRI in Newcastle supporting our local economy. Vera now has an eternal product, trouble free and is able to continue building a deck to encompass her pool also using local trades.... Thanks so much Vera.
